I love the lightbulbs thrown in to the mix! Aside from the aesthetic juxtaposition and all that jaz, from the standpoint of a study it really mixes up the lighting/color... I lack the fancy art vocabulary to say what I mean, but being as you are the one that chose the composition and then painted it, I'm pretty sure you get what I mean.
Overall a great success, I think!
I'm curious what the pattern on the table is from, with the ever decreasing dot size.
Since this is a still life study, I feel like I should offer something other than mindless praise, so... I'm going to make an attempt at some humble critique!
The only thing that jumps out at me in this pic is that I can't quite seem to determine the actual shape of the apple. It certainly doesn't come across as flat, but "skewed" might be a better term. Perhaps the shadowed part in the lower right of the apple is causing my brain to put that area "behind" the upper left, which is not quite truthful. In trying to think of a possible solution and I'm wondering if one could make the shadowed bit somewhat more... I don't know the right word... "vibrant?" "bold?" Perhaps a little more color saturation in the darker areas to help it "pop" out like the rest of the apple while still looking shadowed.
As this whole thing is well above my current capabilities though, I'm nitpicking, and I definitely couldn't say I could have done any better! This is lovely and colorful and holy crap those are big bulbs of garlic

You're right, the right side of the apple is a little skewed inward from where it really was, I noticed a few hours into it (the importance of getting the drawing right first :|) and considered fixing it later, but then got sick of looking at it after day #5 and forgot. :) Also the plate is too flat in the upper right. The color is better than the drawing, certainly. XD But thanks!
This garlic IS huge, go figure...

There really wasn't much color reflection off the bulbs onto the garlic; that's among my favorite stuff to paint and I looked for what was there, and I stared at this thing for five days, so I hope I'm not wrong! ...I think it'z cuz light goes through the glass rather than reflecting, so you get a glowy haze where a shadow would be on a solid object. Seems weird, but I tried to go with what I saw! Thanks for the input, though. :)
I thought this was a picture.
I have gone to still life art shows where nothing was this good...
,
I esp like the green light bulb, i had to stare for a long time before I could tell whether it was a photo or painted, which is tremendous one of the hardest things to do in a painting is portray opacity and you did it... amazingly.
