So long before the anime for the anime "The Rising of the Shield Hero" came out my best buddy Legend was gushing like crazy about the origional web novelization of this series praising it for what it did to deconstruct and reconstruct in the "Isekai" genere that SAO made famous/infamous.
And by far my fave character is the Lead himself Naofumi Iwatani the eponymous Shield Hero himself.
His story is so amazing that i cannot honestly put it into words. I really recommend everyone that sees this to either check out the initial web novel version, the Light novel, the manga or the anime that revolves around this story. It is one of my all time fave works. Like seriously i relate to Naofumi on an almost spiritual level! Gotta love the shield bro!
