I've wanted to do Shemain's character sheet for EVARR! There is such a lack of beaver characters out there, although I've seen a slight increase lately.

Character Description
Shemain is the girlfriend of Kitchy, one of Chucky's close friends from Chucky the Skunk comic. She is a 10th year primary school student at East Manchester Prep, who met Chucky's gang while dancing at O'Malley's Pub and Games. Shemain is very outgoing with a seemingly endless supply of energy. She has a worldliness about her due to her interest in culture and reading. She loves life and tries to live it to the fullest, but is very unsure what she wants to do with herself after graduation. Maybe her new found college aged friends can inspire a direction.

Personality
The best description of Shemain is precocious. She wants badly to engage in the adult world and pursues any interests at 100 percent. She is very outgoing, no shyness or shame. She will introduce herself to anyone. She is outwardly emotional, but you'll almost never see her angry or upset as she always looks for the positive.

The positives of her personality are also the negatives because she is going full force when she's awake, and completely crashed out when asleep. There is no in-between and she can be overbearing. Shemain is also unfiltered. Not in a malicious way, but she has a tendency to say and do embarrassing things at the wrong time.

Shemain is an emotional success story. She did not succumb to her negative upbringing and toxic home life. She copes by spreading(or at least trying) as much joy and positive energy to those around her as she can. A good listener, she understands love, compassion, and sympathy. She is also deeply romantic, loyal, and passionate.

Likes:
Fun, obviously. Loves spending time with friends and making new ones. Loves dancing and the energy that comes with it. Reading and learning new things relating to cultures. She loves pirates and all the imagery that goes with them. Anything flavored with birch or poplar(she is a beaver). Romance and boys.

Dislikes:
Conifer tree flavors, gross!! Girls, Shemain really really does not get along with other females. She recoils at the constant gossip, backstabbing, sneering, and one-upping that transpires among teenage girls. Killjoys, liars, and people who feed on negativity. Unfortunately her parents fit into this category. She doesn't necessarily dislike science and math, but she finds them difficult and tedious. School, although she has her priorities straight, she'd rather choose her own passions to pursue.

Background/History
Shemain was born February 9, 6988 in Manchester, New England. She is the only child of Brett and Tilly Samson. Not long after Shemain was born, her parents took DNA tests in the interest of family history. Her father is 100 percent Northeast American Beaver, a mix of New England and Quebec. Tilly, on the other paw, is 95 percent Cascadian, directly descended from a long family line of warrior beavers who fought in the Cascadian Civil war between otters and beavers. This triggered something ugly in her personality, one that was already prideful and somewhat obsessed with meaning and identity.

The Samsons were a traditional beaver family. The father worked construction(I know, beaver cliche), and the mother stayed home and raised the cub. Shemain's bubbly personality was partially overbearing, but was countered with her precocious self sufficiency. As long as other kids were around, Shemain occupied herself with play. Meanwhile, Tilly dove into the depths of her own mind and the internet. She found beaver supremacy groups on the web and gradually became an Evangelical Castorian. A belief system that identified a beaver's strength, ingenuity, iron infused teeth(no bullshit, look it up), and instinct for family unity as evidence of them being a 'God Favored Species.' She became very critical and judgmental of all around her.

Tilly took it out on Brett first. Brett's pure Northeast heritage meant that none of his family ever embarked on the Great Castorian Crusade that so many of the world's beavers partook in. Tilly labeled him and his ancestors as traitors, blasphemers, and cowards. This led to their divorce when Shemain was four years old.

Shemain remained in her mother's custody, as is normal among beavers. Her father moved as far away as he could, to the city of Bridgeport on the Long Island Sound, where he currently lives with a new family. Shemain spends one weekend a month with him. They have a cordial relationship. Her dad loves her, but takes little interest in her life. Instead, she's his outlet to complain about the world and how everyone is an idiot, taxes are too high, he could run this place better, and "Say hi to your mom for me."

Shemain avoids home, except to eat and sleep. She learned quickly to never bring friends over. "No mustelids! Raccoons are whores! Rats are devious and cheap! Otters are scum, they'll cut your throat!" her mom yelled. Luckily Shemain's mom was too obsessed with her own conspiracies and religion to bother with what Shemain did outside of the house. When she was 10, she befriended a shy badger boy named Brettworth. She spent lots of time at his house with him and his sweet Aunt Luna. They played video games, rode bikes, built forts, and Shemain could read and do homework there. One summer day she accidentally walked in on Brettworth changing. She quickly ran out, but not without seeing everything. Her mind was never the same.

Puberty came like a runaway truck. Her desire for romance and meeting boys became the focus. Boys liked her, as a friend. Shemain's forward personality and plumpness landed her in the friend-zone with boys her age. Her best friend Brettworth was gay, he was a no-go.

Shemain always liked dancing. She went dateless to school dances. One summer night at age 15, she went out dancing by herself, to a real pub. She received attention from adult males and quickly lost her virginity. Sex was wonderful! A few good one night stands, but no romance. One night, a dog in his late 20s seduced her with feigned romantic interest. Once at his apartment, she became an unwilling participant in a threesome with his roomate. She relented. Once finished, they kicked her out. She felt used and heartbroken.

Shemain persevered with her positive personality. She wouldn't let this bad experience bring her down, only make her wiser. A few months later, she headed out to O'Malley's once again. This time, she meet a weasel close to her age, named Kitchy, an aviation student at NETU.

Shemain is from New England(NE), founded March 21, 6066. Geographically it borders Appalachia Republic to the west, Quebec to the North, the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and the Long Island Sound to the south. We know this area as Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. The capital is Boston. Official language is World Anthro. Primary industries are education, manufacturing, seafood, arts and entertainment, and beer. Most residence enjoy a modern middle standard of living. NE joined the World Alliance of Fur Nations on July 16, 6620, when the organization first formed.
No fur knows where the name New England came from, it's what this region was always called. One theory is that its named after the state of Engleshire, in the United Isles of Northsea, or 'British' as they call themselves.

5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs 185 pounds. Shemain is a healthy plump female beaver. Thick curvy body with a bit of a belly. Small breasts likely to get much bigger. Brown to rusty orange fur soft beaver fur with tan/orangish belly and facial fur. Her skin is dark brown, bare on her feet, paws, and tail. Large friendly golden eyes. Webbed feet and large powerful tail makes her a naturally good swimmer like her ancestors.

Shemain likes dresses, blouses, and skirts. She hates pants. Her thick fur keeps her warm so rarely needs a jacket or pants. She has lots of shoes, from goofy big boots to black uniform dress shoes, and all in between.

Ribbons in her headfur. Fashionable rectangular glasses for slight vision correction. Usually a cartoon themed backpack or backpack style purse.
