Wouldn't the eyes work better for detecting movement? Like...why would you lose something that's slightly better and have them both eyes and antennas to make a perfect predator? I dunno maybe I saw a bit too much into it and thought that maybe rapid evolution would still maintain the best features for survival.
Well yes, you're obviously right, BUT, my idea was to have a more insectoid and "horrendous" appearance so I could not think of anything else but antennas instead of eyes, although for that same reason, the antennas will be more "powerful", so they can detect everything that a normal eye can not, for that same reason the ear stops working the same way
