I found days ago an ANCIENT MIG-21F-13 modelkit that was under the dust since easily 8 years. Without decals or instructions. And with the landing gear with missing parts. Decided to join him to my air force, using DDR decals from one of my SU-22M4 (i ALMOST did it Polish, but i reserved that declas for the future) and used the numeral of an Hungarian MIG-15 option (i made it North Korean years ago)
The MIG-21F-13 can have a INCREDIBLY MISERABLE range, and being barely armed with 2 AA-2 "Atoll/K-13 IR missiles and a single cannon, BUT is highly manoubrable and easy to fly, being very appreciated by all the pilots that flyed it around the world.
Incredibly are a very few ones still in service depite being designed in the late 50´s O_o
(and trillons of chineese copies and modernized versions too, called F-7, also an excellent plane)
First time that i used my camera to edit an image, making it look more oldie XD
Here is the just painted oldie MIG near my also Eastern German MIG-29UB

Sorry that was with the Mig21MF version , aparently they where supposted to be delivered to vietnam as could be seen from the already put on paintjob .
That was also not the last time , read about a batch of migs that where in cuban configuration but ended in the Gdr .
That tiny book also covered the diffrent versions that where purchased , jeez the F-13 was really basic , bad range , onyl two mounting points but it had a 30mm cannon which was thrown out for some versions .
