Imagine if you will one of those pet owners who has a tiny dog that believes it could take on Godzilla with one paw (the analogy breaks down a bit because Yari probably could). This dog hates anything and everyone that it sees, but it's owner thinks it's the sweetest thing in the world because they are the only thing in the universe that this tiny demon dog loves. Ash is like that towards Yari. Yari is Ash's lovely spessdook and Yari just wants to eat the world except for this silly horsegirl.
