Last I knew, there WAS a company who was modding Corvette's into the old Mach5... was HUGE expensive and you had to agree to a buncha things like not earning money from appearances or something like that

I saw and took pictures of this car at the NY Auto Show 2 years ago along with the Bumblebee mock up (full size Autobot next to a yellow Camaro: I should post it as it is anthropomorphic :) ) They allowed no one close to it and the steering wheel from the movie was replaced by a plain one and one of the side view mirrors had been removed. A company in Indiana used to make street legal versions a few years ago but I don't know if that is still going on.
