So a bit of context for this story. This was a D&D campaign that I was in with a group of friends about a year ago. The story is from the perspective of my character Dryas, who is a paladin devoted to the moon goddess Sehanine. He devoted himself to her due to the fact that he was inflicted with lycanthropy, and a ritual to her can help him not lose his mind when he changes.

He and a group of others including; Torrin a Dragonborn wizard, Steve a Gnome rogue, Israphel a High Elf bard, and Asparg a Dwarven bard, have all joined a guild named The Purple Hand which is devoted to ending slavery wherever they can. The group had recently discovered Dryas' lycanthropy, and were accepting of him, but the guild as a whole does not know about his affliction.

Torrin, who has always been a real loner (much to Steve's annoyance), wandered off on his own and ran into a group of slavers. The others go looking for him and find him after the slavers had nearly killed him. We all fought the slavers, and killed them. Tonight happens to be the 2nd night of the full moon, so Dryas is stuck in wolf form until the sun rises. The bards also decided to get into an argument over who is the better musician.
