"URK! Come oooon! Almoooost." The portly werewolf huffed, trying to reach over his belly. Its large, cream-colored surface was almost impossible to reach over. Though it felt stuffed, it was certainly not full. The werewolf had to finish. He had to win the bet! If he could just... reach the plate.
The white werewolf across from him grimaced, pulling the plate just out of the fat werewolf's reach. "Okay, Sarge. That's enough."
"But... but you're cheating, Woofy! I can't win the bet if you don't give me my food!"
"You won the bet thirty minutes ago." Woofy sighed, holding the plate further away. "I'm sorry I doubted you, Sarge. You just... couldn't eat twelve gallons of food a few years ago. What changed?"
"Mutation, I suppose." Sarge sighed. "But why can't I reach? I could an hour ago!"
Woofy wanted to giggle, but he didn't want to seem rude. He lowered his arm even further. "You didn't have ten gallons of food in you an hour ago." He noticed how he could no longer see half the table, due to his friend's portly belly. "Also, your belly takes up half the table now. I think you're done!"
"But... the bet!"
"You WON the bet. I declared you the winner!" Woofy put his free hand to his forehead, holding back a grin. "I'll buy you that game you wanted. Just... let's get out of here while you can still move!"
Sarge scoffed. "Ha! Well, unfortunately for you, Woofy, I lost the ability to get out of this booth five dishes ago!"
Woofy nodded. "Well, I suppose that explains why you can't reach...." He scooted out of the booth to better examine the werewolf. He noticed the belly was spilled on top of the table but was also dipping underneath it as well. "So, uh... what next? Has this happened before?"
"Once a week, at least." Sarge stopped reaching and folded his arms over his belly. He recoiled a bit when he saw all the food scraps on his fur. "I have some oil in the car."
"To slip right out?" Woofy placed the plate of spaghetti back on the table and was immediately surprised when the werewolf grabbed it and became to scarf it down.
"Slips right out!" Sarge chortled. "And yay! I got the spaghetti! Can't let all this food go to waste!"
"Can't let all that food go to YOUR waist." Woofy rolled his eyes with a smile. "Though, it seems you already have."
