"Ethereal Dreams" was the first thing I ever scanned and put up on the internet in 2001. I was so nervous! I didn't show my work to many people. But I was happy with how this came out and I wanted to try and show it to people on the Ecco the Dolphin fan forum I joined.
I made this when I was 14-15 and was totally into Christian Riesse Lassen and copying photos I wasn't supposed to be copying. It is colored pencil on Strathmore charcoal paper and I sold it for 50 dollars. Gosh that seemed incredible to me back then.
I was accused of this being a photo manipulation on Elfwood, it was "obvious" because of the big black patch in the corner. No, I was just inept at scanning and stitching the images. I was so upset about it back then! Oh well, live, learn, grow up.
I miss doing dolphins in space on black paper. :C

Did you like Ecco for the dolphin, the atmosphere, the music? ~ I'm semi seriously trying to research the appeal in Ecco, Okami, SotC and other animal char / environment heavy games.
On related note- have you ever drawn a Halcyon?

Wow, really... on one hand, this is really your first pic on the internet?! And on the other hand, it would actually seem like a fake if you put it under that spotlight O: On the THIIIIRD hand (aliens ftw), accusation fail cause they didn't ask before pointing a finger xD

hehe i saw this and what popped into my mind was the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy where the dolphins leave earth before it was destroyed
still, very nice piece of art, pity about the errors in digitising it, at least the original i am sure was very nice for whoever baught it.

This is rather incredible for a 15 year old, I don't think you could be that young when you did this, but then why would you lie? Anyway this is really outstanding and very beautiful the concept and reflection really add a lot to the piece.
And umm it is nice to know you in your incarnation this time Leonardo, you still are a genius! ps you probably were'nt born in Vinci this time, so are you American?
