This is going to have so writing to go along with it so it's very important that you read all of this if you plan to use the species.
Species: Ferrymen or Ferries
This creature is created from the souls of those lost in the woods, they are created by the God of the forest to collect wandering souls of humans and animals. They are only visible at night, and they always (Always) have a lantern with them. This lantern is a key for lighting the way of the lost souls to find the Earth God, for which he will decide what there souls will be used for. Strong willed individuals with a pure heart become Ferries, or another species I have yet to name, and they continue to help the world around them.
They are either naked or wearing a cloak, and cannot remove there skull masks, as there is 'Nothing' underneath them.
There build is very lithe and they are typically male. Female spirits are usually granted a higher position, but the very motherly souls have been known to be granted position as a Ferrie, do to these creatures Overly loving and nurturing nature.
They have a unique ability to become completely incorporeal, when threatened but you can touch them. If they decide they want to be touched.
If you've ever been walking through the woods and see a light, despite the fact you know there is nothing around you, it is the Ferrymen watching over you on your journey.

Also for rping purposes you cannot kill what is already dead :3
And that's a light summery of them. There horns and hoofs can be based off of whatever horns or hoofs you like, as well the skull can be altered. I usually make mine white but there body, hair, and tail can be whatever earthly color you wish. Cause keep in mind there Forest Demi-gods, they wouldn't have neon colors that aren't natural based.
I'd love to see people making these into character but I will stress, they do not have sex, they don't possess the ability to. If you create one please give full credit of the creatures orientation to me because these will be in a graphic novel I'm working on. And there my babies D: I love them so much.
The one pictured here cannot be used. His name is Von'ker, and he is my soul. I drew one previous picture of him but decided to change his hair to be longer.
