Meet Freyja.

She runs a pub and general store together with her parents in a small fishing village. While she doesn't really mind the work she is more annoyed at being stuck in that small town and she would much rather had been born elsewhere and doing something else like being a teacher. As such she comes across as an eternal grump, especially since she's rather coarse and spontaneous so she often runs her beak a bit too much, but thankfully people have come to accept that of her at the pub.

She tries to fill her days as best she can as far as entertainment is concerned, which isn't easy since there is only the one radio station, poor tv reception and even worse internet. Though she does manage to find some online entertainment with a few anime sites as a secret guilty pleasure whenever her fiancé is out at sea.
