She is the new Queen of the American Vampire court.... new being a relative term as she's almost 200 years old.
As an old fashioned Texas Longhorn she grew up as a mortal and managed to catch the eye of the late King. Her hardworking and kind nature made her a favorite and after an extensive education under the King she took his side on the throne. It wasn't meant to last as his life was almost at an end.... despite what would seem like immortality the truth is that even vampires aren't immune to death. The King had been suffering for quite some time of a heart defect and even the vampiric powers couldn't keep him alive forever.... in his last days he died a mortal having granted his powers to his heir as all his predecessors have done.
