Now a little Story time, this picture was based on how we met
For me, at the time I was in limbo about a job where I was the victim of homophobic bullying (and for a very stupid reason at that) and I was off work with pay until it was resolved.
As for Nimbus he just started his new work experience via university as a programmer for a Nissan manufacturer facility. His new work colleuge invited him to a night out, This friend was also at the time my best friends boyfriend and he invited me out also. Nimbus had only just thought about joining the fandom and I wanted meet him.
Though not my usual cup of tea, I went out with just a smidgen of curiosity. You see, I gave up on finding love for many reasons, but I met Nimbus, got a few drinks and we got very flirty... hitting it off instantly. We found each others company very appealing And I wanted him to come back to mine and he also wanted to as well.
Normally that be it wouldn't it? But someone with us had other ideas. Although we were all intoxicated, they took Nimbus aside trying to convince him why he should go home with him instead (we can have sex / A threesome with someone else / all your bags are at mine / nightwind is my friend and I don't want his feelings hurt / nightwind can be rather lewd / nightwind this n that, ect ect) for over 3 hours!
We were outside through all of this in a smoking area of the pub. They were under a shelter with a outside heater giving light and warmth, as for me in the far corner giving them space to talk in the cold, loud & crouded area. Not to mention it just started to rain. I was only in a light shirt and was freezing.
I had contemplated if it was worth waiting for someone I barely knew. For someone who was absolutely all about me when I met him. For me I felt the same but with what has happened to me in the past I felt as though i didn't deserve it.
Nimbus came back worried and asked why he should go with me instead of leaving with him? "I have waited over 3 hours for you to come Back to me in the cold rain. It's up to you what you want?" at that point he knew what he wanted. And thus this picture
Ever since then for over 3 years we've been together and I've been the happiest I've ever been with someone!
