Survival adventures on a remote ocean planet in the far outskirts of space. A secret, ready to discover and a world so stunning and beautiful, it is only rivaled by how deadly it is and how much afraid you are of the ocean.
Subnautica is a game that bewitched me from the first moment I laid eyes on it in the beta trailers. The thought of having a nice survival game in a water-based setting was intriguing to me, especially since it kinda fell flat on me when I played Stranded Deep before. Which was also fun but beyond building a nice big shack, there was barely anything that caught my attention there.
Then I saw this. Swimming, exploring, the water surroundings in general, it was an insta-buy for me.
And how much I loved it! Such an amazing game. The beta was a big construction site and there was so much content missing, but diving back into it when everything was finished was just… outstanding.
I played through the game three times already, one regular survival run with successful rocket escape, the other was a failed hardcore run where I died of dehydration shortly before reaching the end, and the last was another survival run still in progress, as I’m building my base and passing the time until there is more content for Below Zero.
All in all, Subnautica turned into one of my Top 10 games of all times and every time I dive into it, I am filled with renewed joy. The possibilities are sheer infinite and I love every second of it.
Okay, now coming back from this “review”, I wanted a good Subnautica artwork for a while now. And I’m glad I finally… stumbled… literally… over an artist that could put my vision into an amazing piece of artwork.
I always liked the mushroom forest biome the most, so I wanted it and the cute jelly rays in the background to be in it X3
Also, big thanks for
ZheyZhey for drawing it! She was a charm to work with and quite fast owo
And she draws quite the great looking art, too! I hope to commission her again X3

As someone who is deeply scared of deep waters, is is remarkable that Subnautica managed to win me over to practically finish the game two times, even on Survival despite me normally hating that.
Well, I guess you constantly rubbing it in my face also helped vwv
Nice artwork either way, looks amazing.

Yeah I remember when I had panic to play subnautica because of the deep water as well XD - but it's just so incredibly charming in its own ways and the survival element is just... entertaining without being annoying :3
83 I just talk alot about the things I like!
Indeed it does X3

I bought it the instant it was available and played through what it had to offer as of now - like regular subnautica back in the day it's a biiig construction site and I'm hella curious what they still want to add!
Though, I will be patient and don't spoil any new creatures, except for the official concept artworks, which look super rad and pretty cool, but also scary! I want to preserve that first impression, when I see them for the very first time in game for myself
(Unlike every youtuber out there who spawns the unfinished things with console already for the clicks lol)
Subnautica is definatly one of my most favourite games X333

Ah that will still take a while I assume owo
I just build everything in survival XD I spend entire days collecting full cyclops loads of materials to build my bases! But it's much more rewarding for me X3
I use Creative mode only to experiment with different segment builds :3
