This is for school. I read Viktor E. Frankl's "Man's search for Meaning", one of the most moving books i've ever read. It's about the Holocaust, and the ways they were treated in the concentration camp. A psychologist, he mostly reflected on the way humans reacted in such circumstances, he himself being one of the prisoners. In one passage, he described that their emotions were dulled to basic needs, and in a way they flocked, and were herded like sheep by the SS troops. If one were to drop dead from exposure, or malnourishment (which happened very often) the others would emotionlessly continue on like a flock of sheep. It was just the way they had to become, to survive. That's what this depicts, the victims as sheep, the darkness of the SS surrounding them. That is a lamb; Children were treated just as horribly.
