I have to say I love the recent flood of art, even if I've been too tired to comment on anything. Your backgrounds are so rich and plush, and I love all the little details like the golden trims of the book spines and the suggested patterns of the carpet in the hallway. Bauchelain is going to strain his eyes reading tiny books. :P

As for the table runner, it is gorgeous but if you wanted to tone down its focus you can either tint it so it's not so stark against the blue cloth or you could blur it just a little so it doesn't stand out as much but you can still make out the patterns. :3

I think you're right about the runner. If I was coherent when I'd done it, I'd like to think that I'd have actually figured that out on my own (unlikely, but possible. XD). I think I'll go back to it once I've made more progress on my to do list (I believe I promised a certain someone a little something with a certain Oryx and Lynx. XD)
