What I like:
Writing for, May & Luci
The look after turning off a few options...
The city looks appropriately stuck in the 80's
Sort of the music, but it gets old fast.
Lewd Animations
No Voice Acting. I love this, 100%, keep it this way. Some dude grunting and moaning like he's doing CrossFit and never had sex is a quick way to take someone out of the experience. That was an issue I had with HTAH
What I am not so hot about:
Arlene: No Chemistry...
Every random conversation (save 1)
Navigation is vague where you are clicking/going
Navigation prompts something don't appear
Music is MAX on system sounds with no options to turn down?
The visual options window should show a render that allows you to better see what you are changing
Lewd Animations: So this is on both lists because... it felt a little underwhelming and lacked impact or visceral act of actual boning. I guess this might be that "SFW porn game" you were going for but it just left me wanting more, like an appropriate finish to it.
The film grain is a neat idea but it is hyper-aggressive, cut it back about 80%.
Suggestion/Complaints in Depth:
I finally got to sit down and play the demo and hmm, I like the chemistry between Wilson and May and Luci but... Arlene feels forced. This was especially upsetting because Luci and Wilson seemed to really have some connection at her apartment but then Wilson sticks his foot in his mouth. It sort of felt like an artificial "you picked the wrong option" to funnel me towards Arlene? Is she the only romance in this game...? May also terminated in a moment it seemed like you could have gone further with her to comfort her as Neil seems to be pretty neglectful. I got a lot more from the Amy & Luci "not dates" than I did with Arlene who just seems to be set up as this awesome chick. While she might be, it also makes any connection with her shallow and hollow. But I like her enough as a character I can go "alright I guess this is who I am stuck with them, that's fine."
My biggest complaint would be the incidentals. That Luca orca person girl at the takeout, you just walk up and instantly go "hey I was wondering if the historical committee..." and I was like "Wot?" Who would ever talk like that xD, it's like everyone in the town secretly knows Wilson yet you start the conversation as if they're a stranger. It then transitions into stuff that would be like midway into a huge in-depth conversation with a friend, but then just terminates before it gets anywhere. It's so jarring that banter in this game with rando's is "hey how's business" then you get a life story about owning a store for over a century and they're renting upstairs or... some guy in the mall has "plans" for you but won't tell you about them. These conversations make no sense to me and are just so, so, so painful. Are you letting your guest characters write their own dialogues? If so... stahp. Don't do that.
The only random/incidental I actually enjoyed was "confident guy." That conversation made sense and was the only conversation that contextually made sense other than the main 3 girls. "Hey, this place any good?" Was a lot better than "Oh I forgot...." "Then think of something." "What time is it?" Hrrrrgghh.
Options window is odd... you have the game CRANKED to maximum system sounds which are deafening, but no options to turn it down? The navigation prompts a lot of the time never show up and it's hard to know where goes where when they don't, and sometimes you can only get to certain places (like the junction to Luci's apartment) by going to the FAR bottom left which I assume means... I am taking a hard left? I get so confused at that junction! I also fail to see the purpose of walking the character around... It would take you out of the world but it might be better just to have text to click on where you want to go? Pull back the grain because it fades out most of your details. I see why you have it, but your game actually looks pretty good you don't need grain that harsh, pull it back 80% and let the world you build shine through. I literally, and I mean literally, can't make anything out with the grain on and I get you are trying to hide some lack of detail - but the models look good. You did a GOOD job on them!
The Lewd Animations. While smooth and moody, they lack emotion and raw "I am banging you" quality. It feels like a really sterile take on sex, no break in tempo... no gripping someone's hair, shoulder, no biting your lip. Wilson is really fidgety and wiggly in sex for a guy, I dunno where this started but, do guys do this when they bone? Don't get me wrong I get into the swing of things but throwing your head back and moaning is something I've never done and it kind of takes me out of it. It's not voice acted at least, that would make it unbearable. I dunno maybe I'm just unusually stoic while doing the deed. It was just a round of girl on top cowgirl, not exactly the most toe-curling act. I really want "wet effects" and that was one of my favourite parts of the HTAH. Seriouslly, that one scene finisher with May felt like the whole reason I bought it haha. Other than to support you and see what you did next.
I got sick of reading the name Neil... I swear to god I read the name Neil more than the director of the Neil Diamond Fan Club. It's okay to just call a character "him" when you establish who you are speaking about.
What I like in detail:
So, I like the writing on Luci and May. They are compelling, they got a little bit of conflict with Wilson and there's a back and forth when they are on screen. I can feel these are real characters with real lives and issues and a history with the main character! They have personality and pop. Their design really stands out too, the moment where Luci rolls her eyes at Wilson when he finger guns... the from behind hug and bounciness of May at the mall. These characters have life while not being just your "stand in cardboard girlfriend-to-be" like Arlene is.
The city and world. It's cool! I can actually remember the last convenience store I saw with a walk-up window, I was like 4 years old with my cousin back in my home province... that was really awesome to see haha. The whole city is neat, it sells its weird time period of hi-def home gaming systems, projections, DVD's, and the 80's all wrapped into one. It's like an 80's and 2000's fusion. Neat.
The music, despite being ear-shatteringly high, is very nice. Fits the scenes they are scoring pretty well. The lewd song could be a little more 80's porn or maybe Bladerunner soundtrack to really, really be perfect, but it's good.
The lewd animations are smooth and moody... but... up above.
All in all...
Potential. I see a lot of potential in this... the writing of the main 3 is nice and I love May and Luci, hopefully, they are romanceable and you can basically ignore Arlene. That'd be nice as they have so much character. And the setting! There could be some real adventure with this setting! I want to see more, I want to see future games like... maybe a real dating simulator where you have jobs and work up etc. Maybne a "humdrum" RPG where you apply RPG mechanics just to ordinary life with a lewd dating aspect that's fleshed out. Maybe even drop the whole Neil focus or even take a step away from the established characters? It would be awesome to keep May and such but getting to customize a character a bit or choose from presets and select your own name. The 80's and retrowave are HUGE right now so this setting should be killing it right no!
Anywho, as a fellow creator, I want to see more from you. Before I worked on an indie project I enjoyed HTAH and thought it was a neat fresh take. But this scene is moving so fast and writing etc is improving so drastically on a lot of lewd games. I think you have the chops from what I've seen in May and Juli, that's some really awesome character writing! Those two have a realism to character so many projects lack, maybe even my own to be frank... Not happy with Arlene tbh or the randoms, it feels like you put your all into May and Juli... and I want to see more of that. Would be awesome if you got a team and were allowed to put your all into the characters.

This level of feedback is every dev's dream. Thank you!
This will totally sound like "the full game is gonna be great, I swear!" but here it goes.
A lot of the issues you had come down to the core content of the game being impossible to include in a demo (especially with itch.io's 1gb file size limit.) Things like timeflow, weather, NPC routines, side quests. The game only spans 1 day whereas the full game can take weeks.
The demo version of the story is a lot different than the full game, with the only option being that you go to the party and the only girl you can dive right into bed with being Arlene since basically she already made up her mind about pursuing Wilson. The full version will have more options, you don't even need to go to the party if you don't want to. That's just a scenario that worked well for the demo.
Without spoiling too much, I hate where the Arlene demo content leaves off too. Neither of the two characters change towards each other during the demo, that all comes later. Gotta end the demo somewhere though.
The NPCs are also "demo versions," I threw together. Basically they say one line and that's it. In the full game there are a lot more of them and they go about their business more naturally. That's basically just locked away in the demo version along with the other features.
As for sound, basically all the sounds are "programmer" placeholders right now. A professional will be taking a crack at it. I don't think I'll be including volume options, but it'll be mixed better.
I changed the grain close to the demo's release to use actual VHS grain elements and didn't really fine tune it. I'll be working on that.
I'm glad you liked what you liked! Thanks again for the feedback!
P.S. When the full game is out you're not gonna want to ignore Arlene, trust me.

For sure, I think us indie creators (especially on the lewd scene) need to stick together and help each other out as much as possible. Grow the pie as they say in business school these days.
Oh I see, I really look forward to seeing more of the completed product then! The sounds are fine the only issue is the volume of the music haha, it is maxed on system sounds so it is extremely loud and with no sound option you have to either turn the game down with mixer (which annoys people greatly) or turn your volume down in the whole system. I wouldn't forego sound options though! I really recommend that, a looped song can get annoying... a looped soundbite can get MADDENING xD.
I hope the lead up to Arlene is different too, the intro to her I dunno. Everything felt a bit cookie cutter, but I'll give her a shot in the end product. I'll probably get he playthrough done quick and move on the the main course, Juli, and then to the desert which would obv be May haha. It's good the NPC's are demo versions, more diegetic conversations are really needed with world building.
For sure, looking forward to more!

The lead up to Arlene for the July 4th scenario is basically the same unless you (or her) decides to take it slow. The demo is just such a short timeframe in the big picture of things. I've mentioned it to a bunch of people, it's nice that there's a fast moving beginning to a relationship to get to the "good stuff" in the demo but it cuts off at such a cruddy time. They basically don't know each other yet.
I think I'll be replacing the current demo with a timed version of the full game once it's finished. I feel like that'd give people a way better idea of things.
