So another wintery themed piece here. She's chowing down on a tasty fresh strawberry crepe while taking a nice walk through the freshly falling snow.
Wanted to post this since its winter and food themed-ness holds a vague connection to what I focused on for my Bday this year... food!
My fiancee was very kind and took me out to my usual fastfood faves that I don't usually go to (since they're anything but healthy < X D ) and then we helped get everything together to do the bigger event, homemade eggrolls.
The original receipt came from my mothers sister who would often make batch foods like eggrolls to feed all their kids and when I was a tiny kiddie it was one of my favorite foods. And it still is now!
So we all gathered in the kitchen, mixed up everything and started our jobs; mixing ingredients, cooking things, rolling rolls, doing dishes. It was actually a lot of fun and something we haven't done as a family in a long time.
So yeah~ good food and winter is just the best mix ever and is somewhat the themes behind some upcoming works that go with this. So more on that soon too~
Now back to work for me. I'd love to hear what foods you guys out there ask for on special occasions. I think everyone has something special to them~

I am always in awe and envy of your ability to make really lovely backgrounds and environments. The girl herself is really well-done, but the background really brings it all together.
As for foods, one of my favorite foods is a green curry chicken with longbean that a restaurant nearby makes. Its that kind of spice that only gets you after the third bite and its really good so even after it starts to burn I want to keep eating. I don't get it that often though so it remains a special occasion dish for me.
That and Moon Cakes. I only seem to be able to get them during the Moon Festival celebration this one restaurant hosts. Course, everyone keeps mistaking them for Moon-Pies, which are easier to come by but I find so-so. Which means anytime I go to a convention, its inevitable someone shows up with moon-pies. But its the thought that counts and well..food at a con is always good.

My nan makes bread and butter pudding. It doesn't sound that exciting, and maybe that's what makes it nice. Simple and sweet. Whenever we go to her house for dinner I always ask if she's made it and if she has I'll generally go back for double.
I haven't asked what recipe she uses or how she makes it. I think part of me doesn't want to because if I could make it it wouldn't be my nan's recipe would it?

this is gorgeous work. I love the little snow bunny and I share a love of strawberries and strawberry crepes. My fav crepe place went out of business and i'm too lazy to make my own. 'cept now that I have seen this, I want one... *grumbles and goes searching for her crepe recipes*
Oh, and fav food varies by season. As it is winter, I like hot food--chili or lasagna--with hot tea or cocoa. Num!
