Marianne Strikland
A new character! Been kinda wanting a macro character for a while and here she is!

Name: Marianne Strikland
Age: 23
Height: 11'7
Weight: 1,895 lbs.
Backstory: Being born a mammoth, Marianne was already used to being the biggest in the room. It was common for her growing up to be the largest among her friends. It took time to get used to, and even longer to accept it, but eventually Marianne came to accept her body.
Everything was fine, up until her first date in high school. Her date was cute enough, a jackal who took her to a drive-in movie. The date was going well until he learned in for a kiss, Marianne felt a tingling sensation. She thought it was her nerves that made her feel like the car was getting smaller. The sound of metal creaking soon proved otherwise, the jackal immediately freaking out. Afterwards a flurry of apologies from both ends were exchanged, but by then the date was already ruined.
The next day Marianne found that it wasn't a bad dream: any form of love or affection shown to her would result in her growing in size. A hug, holding hands, a gaze from afar, even something as simple as food made with love. As long as there was love she would grow, the stronger the emotion, the faster her growth kicked in. This has lead to her avoiding the dating scene and even close friends and family;in fear of growing out of the house and becoming the elephant in the room.
Over time Marianne has learned to shrink back after growing and to an extent suppress her growth, but it is something that hasn't gone away completely. She has done everything in her power to try and put an end to her growth: medicine, potions, amulets, you name it she's tried it. All have had no success so far In some ways her “gift” can be useful. Marianne can tell when someone genuinely cares for her, as opposed to someone who only wants to use her for personal gain.
Despite the problems her growth gives her, Marianne hopes that one day she'll find someone to settle down with and possibly have kids with, preferably someone who wouldn't mind being the shorter partner, and someone who won't freak out when she grows a few feet.
As problematic as her growth is, Marianne is determined to not let it dictate her life. One way or another, she’ll find a way to either get rid of it, or accept it and learn how to control it. Until then she'll have to worry about breaking the roof of her favorite coffee shop.
Personality: Marianne isn't shy, she just prefers to be reserved, observing rather than joining in. She’s fine with talking to people, however as soon as she feels her growth kicking in, she'll politely try and get away from the situation as quickly as possible before it becomes noticeable.
If things do go south, Marianne goes into panic. A flurry of emotions assault her: embarrassment, anger at herself, regret. She handles this all while making sure she's not stepping on or accidentally squashing anybody .
One of her fears is that one day she'll grow bigger than the size of a building and won't be able to shrink back. However her biggest fear is that if she does have kids she will pass down her affliction, plaguing them with what she’s been stuck with for years now.
Marianne is a tough nut to crack, if you do however, you'll find that she's a great friend to have by your side. Marianne will help motivate you to finish your goals, make sure you're living healthy, and even make the occasional meal or two. She'll help you out however way she can, even if it hurts her in the long run.
With how she treats others, it’s hard to not grow fond of the mammoth, which in the end makes her grow even bigger, much to her dismay.
Fun Facts:
When she's feeling especially lonely, she watches cheesy romance movies.
Likes to place different flowers on her hair, most if which come from plants she's grown.
Over time Marianne has learned to “hold in” the growth. It takes great effort, but at least for a while she can halt her growth. After that she will enlarge at a very slow rate. Although continuous affection or a massive dose at once will cause the growth to happen all at once, similar to a balloon inflating rapidly.
Loves children, has an almost magical connection to them. Sometimes she'll show off her growth to them as a “magic trick”.
