"The Nightdown fox" Cheshire (Reference/Biography)
Cheshire black fox
Genderqueer (they/them)
“And in the distance, you will find a black Cheshire fox, whose frabjous smirk withstands from sun up to night down. Their balance, like their grin, is constant.” -the Cheshire Cat
("The Nightdown fox" Character Biography)
The Nightdown fox is the Master Cheshire of teleological ethics.
They understand the lure of labeling, and such labels often used are "right" and "wrong". But for morality and the greater good, they see no such thing. Each individual choice, whether labeled as right or wrong, leads to another series of choices. Sometimes wrong decisions lead to right outcomes and vice versa.
Instead, the Nightdown fox uses riddles and conundrums to weigh the balance of each individual decision and to focus on the greater good. Unfortunately, the moral foundation of "right" and "wrong" in the real world left many of the Nightdown's riddles misunderstood, and the alices (marks/targets of the Cheshire Clan) who did comprehend the riddles only became more detached from others in the outside realm. They are known to practice extreme empathy in the care of their alices.
The Cheshire Cat saw that more than one ethical perspective had to enter the real world in order to save Wonderland. And that's when the Nightdown fox got a partner named The Noxis... One they would grow to hate and love, agree and disagree. It was hoped that this dissonance would one day save the realm of Wonderland...
