I don't usually upload pictures of the cars on my layout, but this one is an exception:

It was made to honor the memory of H. Lee Riley, the Vice President of Product Development at Bachmann Trains.

If it weren't for him, the niche scale of On30 may never have taken off like it did, because he pushed for narrow gauge O scale locomotives and cars that ran on HO track to be mass-produced by Bachmann.

This excursion car is based on the ones at the Cass Scenic Railroad where he volunteered.

I bought it to show my thanks to him for making my favorite scale available to non-scratch builders like myself.
