Collie and Hybrid
Valentine’s Day
February rolled in and with that came the feeling of Valentine’s Day. Nicholas could see it and other couples prepare for it. After last month with finding he loved Natsuki thoughts of holding the female Scottish Collie in his arms, her murmuring his name before kissing came to the fosky’s head. But she seemed out of his league. Sure she was adorable and cute, sometimes beautiful, but that made Nicholas feel he wasn’t worthy of her. Even with the fact the two keep seeing the other and had things in common, the fosky felt she didn’t feel the same way. However, this was where the long-haired male would get some hope. It all started a few days before the 14th and he got a call from her. “Yes?” he answered.
“Hey Nicholas,” came her reply that was happy. “I need some wee bit of help soon.”
“What kind?”
“Well I’m cleaning and moving stuff out of me place. Problem is that I can’t do it by meself. All me friends are busy and well…” Natsuki trailed off.
“Okay, she’s just asking for help,” Nicholas thought in his head. “There’s no deeper meaning than that…”
“Okay sure,” he replied.
“Thank ye so much!” came her happy reply. “See you then…” That was said very sweetly and it made his heart melt to hear that more.
The day then came and even though it was Valentine’s Day, Nicholas was more focused on helping Natsuki. He came up to her door a little early and knocked. “One sec…” came her voice and then it was opened to see her standing there in pink. “Hey there Nicholas!”
“Hey,” he replied, blushing slightly as she was so cute in her outfit.
“Well, come on in.” The female canine led the male fosky in. He had never been inside her place but looking showed it was nice and cozy with hints of her native home country in here.
“This is nice,” he told her.
“Thanks laddie,” Natsuki replied with a sweet smile.
“So… where do we begin?”
It wasn’t too hard to figure out what to do. They would take his car for most of the hauling. As they picked up stuff, the two began to laugh and talk. They still do so as they dropped off the first load to its destination. The fosky had slight hope that maybe he had a shot with her after all. At the halfway point, the two stopped for a break to eat and drink something. “Ye know…” Natsuki then said after their conversation stopped for a bit, and she brushed a strain of her long white hair back while blushing and smiling. “Ye been doing a good job so far…”
“It’s nothing,” Nicholas replied, blushing and smiling.
“No really…” The Scottish Collie looked up to him, her eyes meeting his. “I really didn’t know who else to ask who lived so close to me and is strong…”
The long-haired male took that in and saw by her gaze that Natsuki really meant it. But his mind was racing. Did she just mean it in general, or did that last part of being strong hold anything else? Like she admired and liked it? The Scottish Collie then rose up since the food and drinks had been consumed.
“Come on then laddie,” she said and walked past Nicholas, her tail brushing against him and some of her long hair did as well. The guy blushed hard as he caught a whiff of a sweet smelling scent on her. The guy looked back to see her looking at him with a giggle. It was exactly the same as when they had first gone to the beach. Nicholas was left confused if Natsuki was flirting with him as she felt the same way, or teasing him.
The rest of the time went well and the job was finished. However, there was still time in the day so the Scottish Collie suggested they find something else to do in town. “Guess it’s a date then,” Nicholas said.
“Is that what ye think all of this was?” she asked with a smile.
“Well… not the working part but this, yeah.”
Natsuki nodded and took his arm to Nicholas’s surprise. “I think so to,” she said and held onto it. This filled him with more hope but there was still that doubt. They had a wonderful time and the sun was beginning to set when she was dropped off at her place.
“Thank ye so much laddie,” the female said to the male. “I really had a lot of fun…”
“I did to as well,” Nicholas replied softly. “Well… I guess I should go…”
“Wait, I still need to do something,” Natsuki said suddenly before he could leave.
“Really? What?”
She didn’t answer right away but instead leaned up and placed a soft, loving kiss on his cheek. Nicholas’s cheeks burned and his eyes widened in shock. He was stunned as Natsuki pulled back. “That’s a thank ye for helping me today and for spending time with me…” The fosky could see how badly she was blushing to as she went inside her place. Nicholas touched the spot and could still feel her lips on there even when going to bed. He wondered though now how he could tell Natsuki just how he felt about her. The signs had been there today, now the only thing to do was to just seize the opportunity. The fosky was determined to succeed.

Now it's only just a matter of time before me and her hook up.
