This is my new WOF (Wings of Fire) OC Kraken or Lady Kraken, as her crewmates call her.

Kraken is a Seawing, one of the dragon races within Tui. T. Sutherlands series "Wings of Fire"

She is referred to as Lady Kraken because she was born to the ruling dragons of two pirate nations and thus is pretty much their "Queen".

Kraken grew up practically among pirates, it was the reason she was kicked out of the Sea kingdom to start with. She didn't mind though, she liked the ruff and tumble life of a sea pirate. Though one day she got separated from her crew during a storm and washed up on the shores of Pyrrhia close to the Icewings territory merged with the Sandwings.
It was here she met her first love and let him take her away with him. They ran off to Possibility hoping to start something new there, and she did. She had an egg and was happy, though she never told either of her past and her happiness aut-not last long. As a strange curse took hold of the Icewings in Possibility and her love was one of those who perished to it.
With this and fear that it was a sign that her old life might catch back up to her she took her dragonet and left Possibility. She was pretty much hoping to teach her young one how to fend and care for himself then probably turn back to her old life without him. As she feared what they would do if she didn't merry or mate to another pirate, and how they might react to her 'hybrid' offspring.

It was a time during this 'fleeing' that she ran into a Nightwing, close to Jade Mountain. He was sweet and not as self entitled as the stories made them out to be, he really just looked sad. And she couldn't help but seek him out more and more before she moved into the Rainforest with him.
They eventually had and egg togather, but before she could see her egg to its hatching her past finally caught up to her and she was taken back to her life at the seas.

It turns out that there was no other 'next in line' to take her parents place when they passed and so their crews needed her to lead them. Though once they knew she had offspring they went after them as well.

Lady Kraken has been left woundering the fate of her mate and dragonets ever since. Though since no news of their death has come yet she assumes they are all still alive and evading capture.
(Seems like those lessons she taught her son have helped him a lot)
