I think we should IMBUE Devon. Having someone that can shift back and forth, on his own, could really be handy if we're captured later, or some such. No one will pay much attention to a normal doggo, sure, but a doggo that has thumbs is way more useful.
As for getting on the ship... I believe we should WATCH AND WAIT, it could be dangerous to just immediately run for the ship, and besides... whats brought them out here that requires an airship? Which we know is a rare thing, after all...

Giving Devon the ability to switch will be useful. Normal Dog and Dog Person independently will let us have extra hands on our sides, and the dog benefits as well, without having to actively do it on our own. I'm sure we will find ways to increase our magic again later.

Gonna pass on imbuing... we were down to 4/12 MP before that level up so I dunno if we can spare the mana, especially since it doesn't seem like the crowd will pass up any single chance to transform. Plus the shapeshifiting to full dog is somewhat niche right now.
