I'm working on a new character idea I'd really like some feedback on. These usually start with crude scribbles until I've fleshed out what I want.
The character's name is Simon. He is a member of a highly advanced alien race. He likes to seek out and meet new cultures and is somewhat of an interstellar gourmand. Gravity is heavier on his home planet, so he requires about 110kg of food a day to support a metabolism capable of powering flight in increased gravity. Biologically his intelligence is roughly equivalent with humans, but his race has developed advanced AI integration which gives him certain mathematical and memory skills which far surpass ours on earth. He is a civilized individual and not a ravenous savage, although his ancestral heritage has roots in this behavior, once necessary for their survival.
Other than that I haven't come up with any more lore yet. I may make a writing series in the distant future, provided I can ever find the motivation to finally finish writing "Picking Sides."
Anyways, I'm just curious, is there interest in a character like this?

Here's a little more about them for your entertainment.
I don't have a species name yet, but it's essentially going to be a combination of a reptilian raptor-like traits and a toothed heron with raven-like, dexterous talons. I envision him being mostly feathered (purple and blue, fading to orange red and gold wings) but potentially with some visible scales or skin on his belly and neck. His beak will be grey. I haven't decided on eye or tongue color yet. I'm leaning towards green for the former and purple for the latter.
Deep in the past his species started out as cooperative hunters which favored the evolution of intelligence. Eventually they developed communication and crude tool use/making to improve hunting efficiency. This freed up some time for specialization of labor and the further development of technology and culture. Rudimentary agriculture (at least by our standards as they are carnivorous birds) led to the development of a civilization working on a food based economy (since birds are always hungry).
In the present day his species carries a small computer worn around the ankle or perhaps the neck which integrates with the mind to function as an AI based intelligence aid. Through "variable-tractor-field" technology the brain interface allows him to operate precise, low level telekinesis, limited in strength and range by the battery of the computer. It's invention spurred huge technological development on his home world as previously their technology had to be clunky and huge to allow birds with massive talons to use it. Now they have the technology to build starships and travel long distances in deep space.
Anyways, I plan at some point to do some writing with the character. For now I plan to start by drawing references and stuff, maybe a few nom comics.
