Here we are again for another KatNee Movie Date. Today we bring you "Katney's Never Seen 'Thor'." What did I know about Thor, the Marvel character? ... He had long blond hair, talked in old dialect, he played with thunder, and he had a BIIIIIG hammer. ... And at least in the movies the ladies and some men really fawned over his adopted brother Loki. ::shrugs::

Title Card: Our first gender-bending of a main character for title card purposes! Why? Well, it gives Katney a break from being stuck in a revolving door of love interests who barely last a few movies or do anything, especially in a cinematic universe where superhero movies are starring mainly men. Otherwise Nee would be the main character almost every time. So once in a while there will be some cross dressing for both fursonas. ^^ So why did Nee cast himself as the Destroyer? For the Phineas and Ferb joke. ^^ Pain is funny. And it was because I didn't receive this title card until 2019 that Movie Date postings were delayed. X3

Once again, Da Rulez!
1) We watch these movies from our respective countries. We log into our internet messenger of choice, choose a movie, count down to start, and type our reactions and commentary accordingly.
2) It has to be a movie only one of us has seen before. The only exception is if it's part of a film series and one of us wishes to watch it together, but it will still be added to their movie total tally. (Example: Katney's already seen Batman Forever, but Nee wants it included in the Movie Date entries.)
3) If neither of us has seen a particular movie one of us has to watch it first. Besides syncing issues leading to possible spoilers who would draw the title card? X3
4) Movies that we've seen before but haven't watched in several years and remember very little of may be included.
5) Movies that have only been seen in bits and pieces may be included as long as certain plot points/twists haven't been revealed. There may be some minor exceptions if it's included in a film series and/or heavily parodied.
6) TV and internet shows will be included. One disk/season will be considered one movie. 5 to 6 episodes maximum per viewing and marked as a completed movie by the end of the disk/season. Internet shows without a physical copy will be calculated either by episode run times or by season.
7) While Katney does her best to add movie descriptions these logs are from some time ago and some of our reactions may have to be taken out of context.
8) The logs will be posted as they were originally written, except self-corrected typos will be removed and some strong language will be censored. The censored word will usually be replaced with "(toast)" or some other variation depending on the situation. There may be some films where this rule will be ignored.
9) In the descriptions the actor's name may only be listed in regards to the character they play if we refer to them as such or as another character they've played in our commentary.
10) Movies are watched from beginning to end, so if you intend to watch these movies beware of spoilers.
11) More rules can be added at any time.

(The Paramount and Marvel Studio logos play. A parked van sits beneath a starry sky in Puente Antiguo, New Mexico. A man and two women sit inside studying various electrical devices. They are searching for that night's predictable occurence. The man, Erik Selvig, reminds Jane Foster that she is an astrophysicist, not a storm chaser. "I'm telling you, there's a connection between these atmosphere disturbances and my research," Jane insists.)
Katney: Mmm, another Paramount intro
Nee: I think those stopp soon <_<
Katney: By Avengers at least
Nee: Beeping
Katney: It's dark
Nee: ... some people have odd hobboes
(Suddenly they notice an aurora-borealis-type phenomenon in the sky. The second woman, Darcy Lewis, begins to drive them towards the phenomenon as Jane records it. A funnel cloud drops down from the aurora glowing with a fiery light. Darcy begins to steer away from the funnel while Jane wrestles for control. Lightning streaks across the sky and the van begins to spin out of control, striking a man in the process. The trio scramble out of the van once they've stopped and rush over to the man who lays motionless. "Do me a favor and don't be dead," Jane tells him. Parts of the credits roll.)
Katney: There's something in the sky!
Nee: O.o Erm... is it supposta be doing that?
Nee: Drive the otherway!
Katney: Killer tornado thingy!
Nee: O.o they hit something
Katney: It looked like someONE
Nee: Do them a favour and don't be dead
Katney: WHO WAS IT
(Tonsberg, Norway, 965 AD. Narration reveals that mankind accepted that they weren't alone in the universe. On some worlds lived their gods, while others held things to fear, such as the Frost Giants. With their power they freeze everything in their path, including living humans. However the Asgardians, lead by their king Odin, battle the Frost Giants. Some Asgardians are also frozen, then shattered. A Frost Giants throws a spiked ball of ice towards Odin, hitting him in the face on his right. The Asgardians win, driving the Frost Giants back to their world. Odin, his right eye heavily wounded, strikes down the Frost Giants' king Laufey.)
Nee: Backstory time!

Nee: OW that eye
(The Casket of Ancient Winters, the source of the Frost Giants' power, is removed from a pedestal. The war ended, Asgardians withdrew from the other worlds and returned to Asgard. The camera pans over a mountain with crystal spikes and then turns so the mountain is now facing downwards, becoming a stalagmite. We pan up again, into a body of water, rising up to see the city of Asgard.)
Nee: Asgard! it's pretty
Katney: It's upsidedown!
Nee: only underneath it
Katney: I guess XD
(The narration reveals that since the war Asgard has become largely forgotten by mankind, passed off as myths and legends, but they continue to bring peace to the universe. Odin, who now wears an eye patch over his right eye, is revealed to be the narrator and has been explaining the history to his young sons Thor and Loki. He guides them through his treasure vault and shows them the Casket of Ancient Winters. Loki asks if the Frost Giants still live, to which Thor expresses his desire to hunt them down to extinction. Odin tells him, "A wise king never seeks out war. But... he must always be ready for it." He leaves with them, the camera passes by the legendary hammer Mjolnir. "Only one of you can ascend to the throne. But both of you were born to be kings.")
Katney: Enthusiastic Young Thor
Katney: Hammer time
Nee: don't tell them that Odin...
(Years later Thor and Loki have reached adulthood, Thor wears his iconic helmet and wields Mjolnir. It's Thor's coronation day in the Hall of Asgard. He tosses Mjolnir into the air and catches it, eating up the attention. A woman in attendance, Lady Sif, scoffs as Thor approaches the throne. Odin sits on his throne, wearing a blank expression as he watches Thor. Thor kneels before the steps of the throne and removes his helmet, smiling and winking at his mother Queen Frigga, who subtly shakes her head, and to the Warriors Three Fandral, Hogun, and Volstagg. Loki looks down. Odin gives a speech about Mjolnir, a hammer forged in the heart of a dying star, a weapon to destroy or a tool to build.)
Nee: I like his helmet ^^
Katney: She's not impressed
Nee: neither is Odin <_<
Katney: Is this our showboating Thor all grown up?
Nee: Seems so ^^
Katney: Loki doesn't look pleased
(During Odin's speech two guards pass through Odin's treasure vault and we watch as a pillar begins to frost over. Odin has Thor swear to protect the Nine Realms, preserve the peace, and pledge himself to only the good of the realms. Thor shouts "I swear!" "Then on this day, I, Odin Allfather, proclaim you..." Odin hesitates as his gaze shifts to the side... he senses it. "The Frost Giants!")
Katney: Meanwhile...
Nee: Thor is loud ^^
Katney: Proclaim you... WHAT?!!!
(A Frost Giant kills a guard in the vault. Three of them race to the Casket of Ancient Winters and lift it from the pedestal. Odin taps his staff to the ground, which echos. In the vault a giant suit of armor called the Destroyer enters, shooting a laser from its helmet and destroying the Frost Giants. The Casket is returned to its pedestal offscreen and the Destroyer steps back from whence it came.)
Nee: O.o How did they get there?!
Katney: They got their thingy!
Katney: ... They explode nice
Nee: ... .... ... The Destroyer got them <_<
(Odin, Thor, and Loki enter the vault and observe the dead guards and the Casket. Thor is angry that intruders broke in. Even though they have a truce with Laufey, King of the Jotuns [the Frost Giants' proper name], Thor feels it was an act of war and wants to march into Jotunheim to fight them. "As King of Asgard--!" "But you're not king! ... Not yet." Odin walks away.)
Katney: He's not king <_<;
Nee: ... Daddy got mad
(Thor is later seen flipping a large banquet table over, which had several place settings and centerpieces on it. He sits down on a step as Loki sits beside him. "This was to be my day of triumph." "It'll come. (...) If it's any consolation, I think you're right. (...) If they found a way to penetrate Asgard's defenses once, who's to say they won't try again?" Lady Sif and the Warriors Three enter as Thor decides they will go to Jotunheim, but Sif says it's forbidden. Thor reminds them of battles they've fought, succulent foods they've eaten, and how Sif herself proved that a woman could be one of the fiercest warriors of the realm, with Thor supporting her all the way. "My friends, we're going to Jotunheim.")
Nee: TABLE FLIPS!
Katney: Thor got mad
Katney: Loki gonna troll? XD
Nee: LOL
Nee: He is a scamp ^^
Katney: All the stuff we saw off screen X3
(The group rides out on horseback through the city gates onto the Rainbow Bridge, riding out to an observatory at the end of it. There they meet Heimdall, the all-seeing, all-hearing guard of the Bifrost Bridge. Loki asks to handle him, but before Loki can get much of a word out Heimdall tells them they're not dressed warmly enough. Thor steps forward, asking if they may pass. "Never has an enemy slipped my watch until this day.")
Katney: Horsies :3
Nee: Rainbow Bridge... want one
Katney: Just don't drive on it X3
Katney: Prepare to pause
Katney: Pause
Nee: ready
Nee: paused
Nee: in time ^^
Katney: Dogs need to be watched going outside for now XD
Nee: I know i know ^^
Katney: Alright, they're back in. Just to clarify, is the guy saying "Never has an enemy slipped my watch until this day"?
Nee: yeah... the big guy...
Katney: With the freaky orange eyes
Nee: He can see nearly everything
Katney: Alright, ready?
Nee: ready
Katney: Go
(Thor orders that Heimdall keep their journey a secret until they return, walking past him. Volstagg passes by Loki and quips, "Silver tongue turn to lead?" They walk into the observatory and approach an opening. Heimdall activates the Bifrost Bridge, a beam of light, to Jotunheim and reminds them that he will keep the Bifrost closed to them if the safety of Asgard is at stake, which would leave them all to die. They teleport to Jotunheim along the stream of light as if they were flying.)
Katney: Silver tongue turned to lead
Nee: round room
Katney: With mechanical stuff
Katney: ZOOM
Nee: STARGATE
Nee: I guess the bifrost could also be called a rainbow bridge... it was pretty
Katney: Quite
(Jotunheim looks like a frozen wasteland with many stalagmites, some of which collapse. The group traverse a while with no living beings in sight.)
Katney: This place, not so much
Nee: ... you got a feeling... this place... cheap to rent places?
Katney: Yeah, but the cost of heating would be murder
Katney: Sleep there and you die X3
(Finally they meet King Laufey at his throne. Thor asks how they got into Asgard, and Laufey replies that someone on Asgard let them in. He calls Odin a murderer and a thief, and he calls Thor a boy trying to prove himself a man. The group is then surrounded by Frost Giants. Laufey gives them a chance to leave peacefully, which Loki accepts on behalf of Thor. Thor glares at a Frost Giant before he reluctantly turns to leave. The Frost Giant then tells him, "Run back home, little princess." Loki mutters a "Damn" as Thor smiles and spins around to swing his hammer at the Frost Giant, sending him flying back and into a wall. "Next?" He sends another near him flying before the group is beset upon by the others.)
Katney: Dude's pretty dead on XD
Nee: ... I would leave
Katney: Drag his ass away!
Katney: Don't do it, Thor... walk away man
Nee: Good boy Loki
Katney: ::winces::
Nee: damn
Katney: Idiot
(Thor and others battle the Frost Giants. During the battle Thor calls out, "At least make it a challenge for me!" More Frost Giants join the fight, one headbutts Thor then punches him back several feet. "That's more like it." A Giant charges towards Loki who stands on the edge of a chasm. The Giant lunges at Loki... and goes right through him, falling into the chasm. Loki had projected an image of himself from behind a pillar of ice.)
Katney: Shut UP, Thor!
Nee: DUDE!
Katney: He's not making me like him very much XD
Nee: you came to there home and mocked them!
Nee: LOL Gotcha ^^
Katney: ... Nicely done, Loki. Can I route for him instead?
Nee: Sure XD
Katney: I know he turns into a bad guy, but still
(One Giant grabs Volstagg by his bare arm, freezing where he was touched. "Don't let them touch you!" Loki attacks another Frost Giant, who grabs his arm and shatters his glove, exposing his skin. Instead of freezing his skin turns Frost Giant blue. Loki stabs the Giant dead and watches as his hand turns back to his previous flesh color.)
Katney: Major frostbite
Nee: <_< why did he go blue?
Nee: A lotta people route for Loki XD
Katney: I've heard X3
(The Jotunheim Beast, a massive creature that was encased in ice, is awoken. Loki, Sif, and the Warriors Three run as the beast emerges and chases after them, telling Thor they should go. Thor allows them to, but he's not done. He swings his hammer around rapidly as Frost Giants approach him, then he raises it, lightning streaks across the sky and flows into Mjolnir. Thor strikes the ground with it, sending out a shockwave that destroys much of the foundation and sending several Frost Giants to their deaths. It even causes the Beast to lose its footing and fall down the chasm. But the Beast clings to the underside and pursues them. They call out to Heimdall, but they're met with the Beast again. Thor uses Mjolnir to hurl himself towards the group... and he flies straight through the Beast's open mouth and out the back of its head, killing it. Gross. It collapses and falls back into the chasm. Thor lands before the group.)
Katney: ... Uh-oh
Nee: Oh now he agrees to go
Katney: ... I don't see Thor going
Nee: Faster... must run faster!
Katney: BY THE POWER OF GRAYSKULL-- I mean Asgard
Nee: Lightningingy
Katney: Ugly pet
Katney: ... Ouch
Nee: ... ew
(The Asgardians are cornered by the Frost Giants with no chance to escape... until the Bifrost Bridge opens and Odin arrives on the back of an 8-legged horse. Thor believes Odin has come to join the fight, but Odin silences him. Laufey approaches Odin, who asks that the fight end. "Your boy sought this out." "You're right. And these are the actions of a boy, treat them as such." Odin asks that they end it, but Laufey claims they're beyond diplomacy. With the promise of war and death Odin's horse rears back, knocking Laufey away and allowing the Asgardians to escape through the Bifrost.)
Nee: ... uhoh
Katney: ...Daddy's here >_>
Nee: ... 6 legged horse
(Back in Asgard Thor and Odin argue. Thor believes the Jotuns must fear him as they feared Odin, but Odin says he's not talking about leadership, but pride and vanity. "You are a vain, greedy, cruel boy!" "And you are an old man and a fool!" There is a long moment of silence. "... Yes. I was a fool to think you were ready." Loki tries to intervene, but Odin silences him. Because of Thor's actions he's opened a peaceful realm to the horrors of war and Odin tells him he's unworthy of his home, title, and betrayed loved ones. He then strips Thor of his power, armor, and Mjolnir, and banishes him, sending him into the Bifrost. Odin then whispers onto Mjolnir, "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor." He then casts the hammer into the Bifrost as Loki watches on.)
Katney: >_>
Nee: ... awkwerd silence
Katney: Uh-oh
Katney: ... Thor got grounded
Nee: ... erm... he got banished... that is about as ungrounded as you get
Katney: I know I know. X3
(We then watch again as Jane Foster's van strikes the man, now revealed to be a mortal Thor. She, Darcy, and Erik exit the van to check on him. Thor stumbles up to his feet. "Hammer? Hammer?!" "Yeah, we can tell you're hammered," Darcy comments. Jane becomes fascinated by the markings on the ground left behind from the Bifrost. Erik thinks they should get Thor to a hospital while Thor calls up to Odin and Heimdall. Thor asks what realm he is in while Darcy aims a taser. "You dare threaten me, Thor, with so puny a weapon?" Darcy fires it and zaps Thor, knocking him to the ground. Jane and Erik stare at her. "... What? He was freaking me out!" They load him into the van and drive off. In the distance something else falls from the sky and creates a huge dust cloud.)
Nee: and now we are all caught up ^^
Katney: Hammer!
Nee: LOL
Katney: Heehee, nice taizer action
Nee: LOL!!!! I like the other gal
Katney: ... Not as nice being out here as the breezeway. Animals are bothering me
Nee: hehe
(The trio drive to the county hospital, giving only Thor's name since they know nothing else about him. Thor wakes up to a doctor drawing blood from his arm. He takes this as an attack and knocks back the doctor, nurse, and orderlies. Several more come in, as well as security, who press him against the wall. "You're no match for the Mighty--" He is sedated.)
Nee: O.o strap him down!
Katney: Sedate him!
Katney: ... Yep XD
Nee: the mighty who?
(A man in a red truck drives to a giant crater in the desert, finding Mjolnir in the middle of it. He slides down to the bottom and attempts to lift the hammer, but it doesn't budge. He blinks. "Huh.")
Katney: Ooo here's where Phil came in
Nee: wow... that made a dent
Katney: Ba-boom
Katney: Stuck nice
(In the city limits of Puente Antiguo Jane, Erik, and Darcy are looking over their research from the previous night. Evidence leads Jane to believe they witnessed an Einstein-Rosen Bridge, AKA a wormhole. Upon studying an infrared picture from the previous night Darcy notices something unusual and calls the others over. Erik gasps, "No, it can't be." Jane walks off, "I think I left something at the hospital." We see the outline of a man within the wormhole.)
Katney: What can't it be?!
Katney: Ahh
(At the hospital Thor awakens to find his wrists and ankles strapped to the bed. He struggles against them before he starts to wiggle his wrist to slip out of a strap.)
Nee: see? Straps make everything better
Katney: Hot when he can slip outta them
(Jane, Erik, and Darcy race to the hospital and into Thor's room, finding the bed empty. The three race back to their van, Jane tells the two they're going to find him. "Our data can't tell us what it was like to be inside that event, and he can." "So we're gonna look all over New Mexico, right?" Erik asks. "Exactly." Jane starts to back out of their parking spot... and smacks right into Thor! They step out of the van and run to him. "I'm so sorry! I swear I'm not doing this on purpose!" It's OK, Jane, he shoulda been looking both ways anyway. ^^)
Nee: well he's gone
Katney: ... Brillian. X3
Katney: GAH
Nee: LOL!!!!
(Meanwhile word has spread about the unmovable hammer in the giant crater. Several people try to move Mjolnir, several more watch like it was a spectator's sport with food and drinks. Some men wrap a wench chain attached to a truck around the hammer, and the driver of the truck drives forward until the chain is taut, but can no longer move... until the truck bed snaps off and flips backwards. The driver, played by Stan Lee, looks back and asks, "Did it work?" On a cliff overlooking the crater SHIELD agent Phil Coulson steps out of a black car and takes out his cellphone. "Sir, we found it.")
Katney: Everyone, take your turn at Excaliber-- erm, magic hammer with hard sounding name
Nee: Yeah XD
Katney: Mjonoal or some (toast)
Katney: Stan!
Katney: PHIL
Nee: O<O STAN1 Your truck! PHIL!!
(Elsewhere Thor steps out of the bathroom, wearing dark jeans and is shirtless, though he carries a t-shirt. Darcy admires the muscles. Thor asks Jane what the sticker on the t-shirt is before he puts the t-shirt on. It reads "Hello my name is Donald Blake MD". Jane removes it, "My ex." Thor walks past, saying he requires "sustenance.")
Katney: ... Meh. ^^
Nee: are you sure?
Katney: Not like I've never seen muscles X3
(They're nice but it's not like I can have 'em. X3 Back on Asgard Loki, Sif, and the Warriors Three talk about Thor's banishment. "At least he's only banished, not dead. Which is what we'd all be if that guard hadn't told Odin where we'd gone." Loki reveals that he was the one who told the guard, pointing out that he saved their lives, but he didn't expect it would lead to Thor's banishment. Sif asks him to speak to Odin, but Loki returns that while he loves Thor he's not fit to be king. Loki walks off, Sif noting that Loki was always jealous of his brother. Hogun reminds them that Laufey said there were traitors in Asgard, and a master of magic could bring them in. Fandral believes Hogun is hinting at Loki, and while he might be one for mischief he doubts it's him.)
Katney: Meanwhile in Asgard
Katney: Is he now? X3
(In the vault Loki approaches the Casket of Ancient Winters and lifts it from the pedestal. Odin stands at the far end of the room and tells him to stop. Loki asks, "Am I cursed?" "No." Loki sets the Casket back down and turns, his skin is completely blue until it fades back to its previous color. He walks towards Odin, realizing that he took more than the Casket that day. In a brief flashback Odin reveals he found an unusually small Frost Giant baby abandoned, Laufey's son. The baby's blue flesh changes to become more like an Asgardian's. Odin hoped by raising Loki it would unite their kingdoms and bring peace. "You know, it all makes sense now! Why you favored Thor all these years! Because no matter how much you claim to love me, you could never have a Frost Giant sitting on the throne of Asgard!" Odin suddenly collapses. Loki looks over him, concerned, and calls out for help.)
Nee: O.o is Loki Cursed?
Katney: He's blue!
Nee: dabba dee dabba die
Katney: Ugly baby
Katney: Better XD
Nee: ... Loki has some resentment issues
Katney: ... Did he have a heart attack? O_o
Nee: He is weak... he needs theodin sleep
(Meanwhile Jane, Erik, and Darcy take Thor to a diner where he stuffs his face with pancakes and drinks from a mug. He throws the mug to the floor, shattering it, "Another!" Jane cleans up the mug and tells Thor not to smash and to ask more nicely. Jane and Erik listen to two men who had just walked into the diner, commenting on a satellite that landed out in the desert in a crater that the government closed off. Darcy takes out her phone, "This is going on Facebook. Smile." She takes a picture of Thor, who grins with a mouth full of food. Erik asks what the satellite looked like. The man admits that he doesn't know about satellites, but it was heavy enough that no one could lift it. Thor smiles and asks where it was. "50 miles west of here." Thor walks out, the others scramble after him.)
Katney: ::wince::
Katney: Big clue

Katney: Direct ^^
(Thor walks out into the street, telling Jane that it's not a satellite and that it belongs to him. He asks her to take him to it. "All the answers you seek will be yours once I reclaim Mjolnir." "Myeu-muh? What's Myeu-muh?" Darcy asks. Erik takes the girls aside and tries to talk them out of getting involved. "He's delusional. (...) He's talking about Mjolnir and Thor and Bifrost. It's the stories I grew up with as a child. (...) He's dangerous, Jane." Jane decides to listen to Erik and tells Thor they can't take him. Thor accepts their decision, taking Jane's hand and kissing it. He bows to the three of them and walks away. The trio walk in the opposite direction, Jane glances back as they turn the corner.)
Nee: LOL That was my reaction when I first heard the hammer's name
Katney: Heheh
Katney: See how long that lasts
Katney: Go to him Jane XD
(They walk back to their lab and discover Coulaon and SHIELD agents have infiltrated it. They are confiscating their equipment, records, and atmospheric data. Coulson hands her a check as compensation, though Jane built most of that equipment. Coulson apologizes as Jane pleads that she's on the verge of understanding something extraordinary. Everything she knows about it is either in the lab or in the book she holds... which is quickly snatched out of her hand. "Thank you for your cooperation," Coulson tells her as he and the agents drive away. Later Jane and the others lament how thorough the men were, as even the backups of their backups are gone. Jane declares she's going to get everything back while Erik says he'll email a colleague who has dealt with SHIELD before... once he gets access to a computer.)
Katney: Phil :3

Katney: Jerk!
Katney: Cooperation, bull(toast), Phil XD
Nee: She shoulda ntot mentioned the book
(On Asgard Sif and the Warriors Three enter the throne room to speak with Odin, only to find Loki, wearing his signature helmet, sitting on the throne instead. He tells them Odin has fallen into the Odinsleep and Frigga refuses to leave his side. "You can bring your urgent matter to me. Your king." Sif asks to end Thor's banishment, but Loki can't allow himself to undo Odin's last command with his first. "We're on the brink of war with Jotunheim. Our people need a sense of continuity, in order to feel safe in these difficult times. All of us must stand together for the good of Asgard." Loki dismisses them, the men turn to leave while Sif hesitates for a moment before following.)
Katney: Back in Asgard again
Katney: Loki's wearing the horny hat XD
Nee: he can "carry off" the horn hat look
(Back on Earth Erik uses a library computer. When he finishes he picks up a book from a cart, then picks up a thicker book, "Myths and Ledgends From Around the World." He opens the book, finding a page detailing the Bifrost, then a picture of Thor holding Mjolnir. Outside Jane sits in the van and notices Thor walking into a pet store across the street. The camera focuses on two cages with puppies in them as Thor declares that he needs a horse. The cashier tells him they only have dogs, cats and birds. "Then give me one of those large enough to ride." X3 Jane pulls up outside of the store. "Hey, you still need a lift?")
Katney: Wonder where Thor's at now. XD
Katney: Bifrost.... Thor...
Katney: Puppies! :3
Nee: ... HORSE
(Later Thor is sitting in the passenger seat as Jane drives west. Thor tells Jane she's brave to be doing this and Jane reasons that she hasn't much to lose after SHIELD took her work. Thor considers her clever, "Far more clever than anyone else in this realm." "'Realm'?" She admits that he's strange, unsure if it's a good or bad strange she looks at him and momentarily drives off the dirt road. Thor tells her she seeks a bridge. "Like an Einstein-Rosen Bridge?" "More like a Rainbow Bridge." "... God, I hope you're not crazy." On Asgard Loki and Frigga sit on either side of Odin's bed as he is in Odinsleep, unsure how long the sleep will last because they weren't prepared for it. Loki asks why they lied to him. "He kept the truth from you so that you would never feel different. You are our son, Loki, and we, your family." She tells him not lose hope that Odin and Thor will return. "What hope is there for Thor?" "There's always a purpose to everything your father does.")

(Nighttime on Earth. Thor and Jane arrive at the crater, now fenced off, lit up by flood lights, and surrounded by SHIELD agents. There's a square scaffolding centered around Mjolnir as scientists scurry around it. Jane observes that if it was a satellite crash they would have hauled away the wreckage, not build around it. Thor lays his jacket around Jane's shoulders as it will rain soon. "You think you're just gonna walk in, grab our stuff, and walk out?" "No. I'm going to fly out." Thor walks off. In the compound computer screens flicker as lightning flashes overhead, making the techs' work harder as the hammer gives off electronic interferance by itself.)
Katney: They light up the crater nicely
Katney: Have you guys tried like a jackhammer? XD
Nee: gonna rain
Katney: Indeed...
(Two guards are called to check the west side perimeter fence, seeing a piece of the fence peeled back. Thor knocks both guards out easily and enters wearing a hooded poncho, hiding once the perimeter breach has been sounded. Jane decides to take the time to leave Erik a voicemail about where to find her if she doesn't contact him again in an hour. "I did exactly what you told me not to. I'm sorry. So sorry. Bye.")
Katney: He's camo'd rather well

Katney: Did exactly what you told me not to do ^^
(Thor runs into a tunnel with plastic sheeting leading to the crater's center, taking out guards as he encounters them. Coulson radios for eyes up high with a gun. In an armory a man reaches for a sniper rifle, but ends up grabbing a composite bow instead. He runs over to a basket dangling at the end of a crane. Thor continues to fight and beat aside various agents and scientists on his way to the hammer. The crane raises the basket with the archer in it so he has a direct view of Mjolnir. Coulson contacts the archer, calling him Barton, who draws back his bow. "You want me to slow him down, sir? Or are you sending in more guys for him to beat up?" "I'll let you know.")
Katney: He got in easier than I thought
Katney: I'd be lost in this maze tunnel
Nee: yeah, I'm lost as it is
Katney: Oooo he's got a bow
Katney: Issat like Hawkeye?
Nee: you'd think they'd have shot at him or had some armour or somethng
Nee: yeeep ^^
(Thor smiles as he reaches the center, Mjolnir just a few yards ahead of him. However a large agent gets between them and punches him backwards. Thor and the agent trade punches, leading to the outside of the tunnel and wrestling in the mud. Thor eventually gains the upper hand and downs the agent. Barton witnesses the fight and Thor heading back towards the hammer. "Better call it, Coulson, 'cause I'm starting to root for this guy." Thor tears his way back into the center of the crater and towards Mjolnir. Coulson stares down at Thor and tells Barton to wait as he wants to see what happens. Thor grabs the hammer's handle... but it doesn't budge, despite how hard he pulls. He lets go and screams to the heavens. He drops to his knees in defeat. Coulson calls in ground units to apprehend Thor, who offers no resistance. Barton relaxes the tension on his bow. Thor watches as the insignia on Mjolnir's side fades and then he's lead away.)
Katney: Muddy
Katney: Get the hammer, Thor, uick
Katney: ... He won't be able to pick it up, will he?
Katney: Nope. (Toast) X3
Nee: he is not worthy X3
Katney: Disappearing insignia
(Later Jane regroups with Erik and Darcy, telling them that they can't leave Thor in jail. Darcy shows Jane the library book with Norse legends, Erik wanting to prove how silly Thor's story was. Jane insists if there is an Einstein-Rosen Bridge that there's something on the other side and advanced beings could cross it. Darcy comments that primitive Vikings might have worshipped them. The two women stare at Erik, who grimaces. Elsewhere Coulson interrogates Thor. He comments that Thor made highly-trained professionals look like mall cops and reasons from experience that only someone with similar training can do that. He asks Thor where he received his training, who he works for, and who he is. Thor only glares at Coulson, who promises they'll find out one way or another. He steps out as his cell phone beeps and tells Thor to stay put.)
Katney: I don't think you'll get answers, Phil XD
Nee: Oh he would X3
(As Coulson steps out Loki appears in front of Thor. Loki tells Thor that he had to see him and tell him that Odin is dead; the threat of a new war and Thor's banishment being too much to bear. Thor sheds a tear and asks if he can come home, but Loki claims the truce with Jotunheim is conditional upon Thor's exile and Frigga forbids his return. "This is goodbye, brother. I'm so sorry." "... No. I am sorry." He thanks Loki for coming as Loki turns away and vanishes before Coulson returns.)
Katney: LOKI
Nee: O.o how'd he get there
Katney: Magic
Katney: Not even a hug?!
(Apparently unseen, Loki walks past workers probing around Mjolnir and grips the hammer's handle. He tugs at it with one hand, then both. He looks skyward before he turns and walks away.)
Katney: You can't lift it either. Nyeh
Nee: but no one stopped him
(An agent tells Coulson that Thor has a visitor. Erik stands outside as Coulson stands in the doorway, claiming Thor's name is Dr. Donald Blake and that he went crazy when SHIELD took their research. When explained how he managed to wipe out security Erik claims Thor is a fitness nut who takes steroids. Agents have a New York driver's license with Thor's picture on it on a computer monitor. "Falsified Data" is plastered over the license. Coulson calls attention that the license says he's a MD, though Erik claims he switched careers to become a physicist. Coulson smiles. Erik leads Thor out of the interrogation room and past a table of confiscated items, where Thor grabs Jane's notebook. Coulson orders that they be followed.)
Katney: Falsified ID. <_<

Katney: They're screwed!
(At a smokey club Thor and Erik sit at the bar. Thor thanks Erik for his help, though Erik admits he did it for Jane, as he worked with her father. Erik still isn't sure if Thor is delusional or a con but he knows how Jane looks at him. He agrees to buy him another drink when Thor promises to leave town. "Two boilermakers." ... I live close to Purdue University, home of the Purdue Boilermakers. ^^ They receive their drinks and guzzle them as they watch each other, as if in a contest.)
Katney: Hee, Boilermakers ^^
Nee: ... not sure you wanna challenge him Erik
(Elsewhere someone travels via the Bifrost to Jotunheim. The figure reaches Laufey's throne and is revealed to be Loki. Laufey orders him killed. "After all I've done for you?" "... So you're the one who showed us the way into Asgard." Loki admits that he did it for fun and to ruin Thor's coronation. Loki offers to conceal Laufey and a few soldiers in Asgard so they may kill Odin in his Odinsleep, and in return he'll return the Casket of Ancient Winters. Laufey accepts.)
Nee: O.o Loki! what are you doing?
(Loki returns to Asgard through the Bifrost and meets with Heimdall. He tells Loki he couldn't see or hear him on Jotunheim. "You were shrouded from me, like the Frost Giants that entered this realm." Loki suggests his senses have weakened after so long, but Heimdall suspects someone found a way to hide what they don't want him to see. Loki asks if Odin ever feared him, to which Heimdall denies, since he is his king and he is sworn to obey him. Loki tells him to do the same to him, and to not open the Bifrost to anyone until the damage Thor had done is repaired.)
Katney: I think Heimdell is in trouble?
Katney: Maybe later. XD
(In her mobile home Jane reads from the Myths and Ledgends book. Thor enters, carrying a drunk Erik over his shoulder and accidentally banging his head against the door. "What happened?" "We drank, we fought, we made his ancestors proud." They put Erik onto the bed and go outside.)
Katney: Oop XD
(On the roof of the lab a fire is burning in a portable grill, Thor and Jane sit around it. Thor tells her that he hasn't been grateful enough for how kind she has been to him and hands her the notebook. Jane is elated, but she knows SHIELD will do whatever it takes to make sure the research doesn't become public. Thor tells her not to give up and to finish the research because she's right. He opens the book to a sketch of stars and planets and draws lines on the sketch, connecting them into a branching region. "My father explained it to me like this, that your world is one of the Nine Realms of the Cosmos, linked to each other by the branches of Yggdrasil, the Worlds Tree." He explains the different realms, including Midgard which is Earth. Time passes on, Jane has fallen asleep in a reclining chair. Thor tucks her in.)

(On Asgard Fandral paces the floor as Volstagg gnaws on a drumstick. "Our dearest friend banished, Loki on the throne, Asgard on the brink of war, yet you've managed to consume four wild boar, six pheasant, a side of beef, and two casks of ale. (...) Don't you care?!" "Do not mistake my appetite for apathy!" Sif breaks the two up before they start a fight. "We all know what we have to do." Hogun knows; they must find Thor. Fandral and Volstagg hesitate, as it may be considered treason or suicide, but Thor would do the same for them. When Volstagg points out that Heimdall might be watching a guard enters, telling them that Heimdall demands their presence. "... We're doomed.")

Katney: <Crash> My kind of guy
(We cut to Sif and the Warriors Three standing before Heimdall. "You would defy the commands of Loki, our king, break every oath you have taken as warriors, and commit treason to bring Thor back?" Sif answers, "Yes." "Good!" He walks past them, saying he's bound by honor to not open the bridge to them... but he's left his sword in the Bifrost mechanism so they can do it themselves. ^^ Loki watches from the palace as the Bifrost is activated and walks off. Sif and the Warriors Three appear in a desert. The anomaly is caught on SHIELD's computers and Coulson orders that they take a look.)

(Elsewhere Erik drops Alka Seltzer tablets into his drink as Thor helps Jane serve breakfast. On a rooftop across the street from the lab SHIELD agents spy on them. In Odin's vault Loki summons the Destroyer. "Ensure my brother does not return. Destroy everything." On Earth Sif and the Warriors Three enter Puente Antiguo still dressed in their Asgardian armor and exposed weapons. People stare at them, as do the SHIELD agents, who decide to report them. "Base, we've got Xena, Jackie Chan, and Robin Hood.")

(Meanwhile Erik compliments Jane on the Yggdrasil theory, but without hard evidence they won't be able to convince the scientific community of it. Suddenly Sif and the Warriors Three knock on the glass doors at the front, beaming. "FOUND YOU!" Erik drops his coffee mug in shock. Thor rushes over to the doors and happily greets his friends. Fandral announces that they've come to take Thor home, but Thor says he can't. "My father is dead because of me. And I must remain in exile." Sif looks at him in confusion. "Thor... your father still lives." Thor's face hardens.)
Katney: Uh-oh, he knows Loki's a liar ^^
(On Asgard Loki approaches Heimdall in front of the observatory. Heimdall asks how Loki got the Frost Giants into Asgard, to which Loki reveals there are secret paths between worlds that even Heimdall doesn't know of. Loki fires Heimdall as he allowed the Bifrost to be opened and declares he is no longer a citizen of Asgard. "Then I need no longer obey you." Heimdall moves to strike Loki with his sword, but Loki reveals the Casket and opens it, turning Frost Giant blue as Heimdall freezes solid with his sword inches from Loki's neck. With a wave of his hand the Casket vanishes and his flesh changes back.)
Katney: ... Yep, I saw it. XD Not the frozen part but yeah
Nee: almost got ya Loki
(In the New Mexico desert Coulson crouches down to a circular pattern in the sand and asks for someone from Linguistics to come. The wind picks up and suddenly the clouds overhead swirl. Thor and the others witness the funnel cloud from town. A parked car by Coulson shakes violently, knocking a cup of coffee over. The funnel cloud touches the ground and sends out a shockwave. The Destroyer appears before the SHIELD agents. "Is that one of Stark's?" "I don't know. The guy never tells me anything," Coulson says. He grabs a bullhorn as the Destroyer starts to march forward and asks it to identify itself. The Destroyer's visors slide open revealing a fiery light, leading Coulson and the other agents to head for cover. The Destroyer incinerates several cars.)
Katney: Aww, there goes coffee
Katney: Not Tony's XD
Nee: never tells us anything
Katney: Outta the way Phil!
Nee: RUN!
(Thor stares towards the conflict. He, Jane, Erik, and Darcy stay to help people evacuate while Sif and the Warriors Three fight. The Destroyer arrives, incinerating a building I assumed was a gas station, but it was a convenience store. Volstagg is launched towards the Destroyer but is instead knocked backwards. The Destroyer looms over him but Sif leaps from a nearby rooftop and drives her sword through the back of the Destroyer's neck. The lights fade from it and it slumps forward motionless. However the Destroyer shifts its body and joints around so that its back is now its front and fires its beam at Sif, who just barely manages to avoid the shot. Sif orders them to fall back. The Destroyer shoots its beam after them, sending them flying. The Warriors Three crash through the diner... which the Destroyer proceeds to destroy. Volstagg flies out the window, Hogun hides in the back of the diner. ... I'm not sure where Fandral went. >_>)
Katney: Evacuate FASTER
Katney: I would've expected a bigger boom from a gas station

(Thor runs to Sif, telling her she has done all she can. The Warriors Three regroup with them, where Thor tells them to return to Asgard and stop Loki. "What about you?" "Do not worry, my friends. I have a plan." Jane, Erik, Darcy, Sif, and the Warriors Three begin to evacuate, until they hear Thor throw down his shield. They watch as he marches towards the Destroyer, which in turn marches towards Thor. Thor speaks to Loki, who somehow hears him, apologizing for any wrong he had done to him, and telling him that killing innocent people won't gain him anything. "So take mine and end this.")
Nee: oh he has a plan?!
Katney: He dropped his shield o_o
Nee: suicide is not a plan!
Katney: What, is Myeh-Nyor gonna come flying to him if he just walks right into his path?!
Nee: well it would be a short film if they killed off the title character
(Loki lowers his hand, the Destroyer seems to power down. The Destroyer turns away from Thor... and then backhands him into the air, sending him flying several yards. Jane runs to his side and strokes Thor's bloodied face. He tells her they're all safe now... and then he closes his eyes and lies limp. On Asgard Loki stands in front of his throne, then turns and walks away. On Earth the Destroyer does the same. Jane sobs over Thor. On Asgard in his bed Odin sheds a single tear.)
Nee: ... ... ... or they... could get another thor
Katney: Been an hour and a half already
Katney: Not that short. ... Shorter compared to the others so far but yeah
(At the crater a technician studying Mjolnir notices a spike on an electrical instrument. We see a flashback of Odin enchanting Mjolnir inbetween scenes of the stone around Mjolnir fracturing. "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor." The insignia returns to Mjolnir as the rocks flake away, and the hammer rockets up into the sky. Still kneeling over Thor Jane looks behind her as a vapor trail appears in the sky and arches towards them. Erik pulls Jane away from Thor as the hammer falls towards them. Thor's hand suddenly catches it, lightning strikes down upon him. On Asgard Loki senses it, as does the Destroyer. Thor is revived and regains his power and Asgardian armor, the Warriors Three and Sif smiling wide as Erik and Jane stare in shock. The Destroyer prepares to fire but Mjolnir is thrown at its head and deflects its shot... and boomerangs back knocking the Destroyer down. Mjolnir flies back into Thor's hand. Thor is healed and looks as he did before his banishment.)
Katney: It's moving...!
Nee: fast!
Katney: That looked closer than 50 miles away
Katney: Whoo, full power bitches
Nee: ... he's baaaaaaack
(Thor flies into the air to avoid another shot from the Destroyer. He flies into a storm cloud and causes the winds to intensify, raising the Destroyer into the clouds. The Destroyer fires its beams at Thor, who eventually uses Mjolnir as a shield against the energy blast and pushes it back towards the Destroyer until it causes an explosion in the sky. The Destroyer falls to the ground, destroyed.)
Katney: BOOM
Nee: that was nice armor once
(Thor drops back down to the ground and approaches his friends. "We must go to the Bifrost site. I would have words with my brother." Coulson steps out of a car and approaches them. "I don't think you've been completely honest with me." Thor tells Coulson that since they both fight for protection he can count on him as an ally if they return what they've taken/stolen/borrowed from Jane. Coulson agrees. Thor then invites Jane to see the bridge and holds onto her as he flies off with her into the sky. "Wait, I need to debrief you!" Coulson calls out.)

(On Asgard Loki greets Laufey and a few Frost Giants at the Bifrost observatory. They walk past Heimdall, who is still frozen in place, though a hairline crack runs through the ice. Jane's van arrives at the Bifrost site. Thor stands on the circular pattern on the ground and calls out to Heimdall, but he gets no response. He calls out again, the ice on Heimdall fractures more. Heimdall soon breaks free and kills the two Frost Giants guarding him. Weakened, he activates the Bifrost. Sif and the Warriors Three rush forward, but Thor stalls to speak to Jane. "I must go back to Asgard, but I give you my word, I will return for you." Thor takes her hand and kisses it. "Deal?" Jane grabs his head and kisses him passionately. "... Deal." Thor joins the other Asgardians as they warp through the Bifrost. Arriving back to Asgard Thor flies back to the city with Mjolnir stretched out in front.)
Katney: ... He left the guy frozen there?
Katney: Why didn't he just break him apart?!
Nee: Well if you chissle him off, he might break free quicker
Katney: Smooooooch
Katney: If he could fly, why did he need a horse?
(Frost Giants enter Odin's bedroom. Frigga draws a sword, dispatching one before Laufey backhands her aside. Laufey pulls Odin's one eye open. "It's said you can still hear and see what transpires around you. I hope it's true, so that you may know your death came at the hand of Laufey." He is suddenly shot off the bed by a bolt of energy. Loki lowers his spear. "And your death came by the son of Odin." Loki blasts him again, killing him. Loki swears to Frigga that the Frost Giants will pay... just as Thor enters. Thor crosses the room, telling Loki to tell Frigga how he sent the Destroyer to kill him. Loki defends that it was obeying Odin's last command. Thor calls him a talented liar. Loki excuses himself as he goes to destroy Jotunheim, firing his laser at Thor and sending him through a wall. Odin's face flinches subtly.)
Nee: He saved Odin! Loki's a hero!!!
Katney: Double Ewe Tee Eff
(Loki rides out to the observatory and slides Heimdall's sword into the Bifrost mechanism. A Bifrost Bridge cuts into a glacier on Jotunheim. Loki then freezes the mechanism as Thor arrives. "The Bifrost will build until it rips Jotunheim apart." Loki tells Thor he did this to prove he is a worthy son, and he only wanted to be Thor's equal. He urges Thor to fight him. "Loki, this is madness." "Is it madness? Is it? Is it?!" Loki realizes Jane made Thor soft and he promises to pay her a visit. Thor and Loki leap at each other and battle.)
Nee: ... yes it is
Katney: Yep XD
(The battle carries outside after a blast of energy and Loki hanging off the Rainbow Bridge by his fingertips. Thor reaches down to help him, but Loki disappears as soon as he touches him, an illusion. Loki comes up from behind and stabs Thor in the gut. Dozens of Loki copies stand over him, but Thor calls down a bolt of lightning that flings away all the copies and the real Loki, knocking him on his back. Thor places Mjolnir on Loki's chest, which pins him down. Loki is unable to remove it.)
Katney: Gah, that trick again
Nee: LOL
Katney: Heheheheh
Nee: he is not worthy!
Katney: Wouldn't that crush him first?
Nee: no... just means he can't left it ^^ not a matter of strenght or weight
Katney: Hmm alrighty then
(Thor approaches the Bifrost mechanism which appears to be overloading and could explode any second. Loki tells Thor there's nothing he can do. Thor calls Mjolnir to his hand and strikes the Rainbow Bridge, the first strike causing Odin to open his eye. Thor continues to strike the bridge, creating fractures. "If you destroy the bridge, you'll never see her again!" Loki rises and charges at Thor with his spear. "Forgive me, Jane." With one final hit the Rainbow Bridge shatters, destroying the observatory and the Bifrost and sending the brothers flying. As they fall Thor grabs Loki's spear... and Odin grabs Thor's leg as he stands at the edge of the jagged bridge. The two dangle over an abyss of deep space, Loki looks up at Odin. "I could have done it, Father! I could have done it! For you! For all of us!" "... No, Loki." Loki looks up at his father... and loosens his grip on his spear. Thor calls out to Loki as Loki lets go of the spear and flies off into space towards a cloud of swirling gas.)
Katney: .... So Thor will find the back door X3

Nee: pause? I got dinner -_-

(Jane, Erik, and Darcy stare up at a calm sky at sunset. "It's gone." Knowing Thor isn't coming back they depart, though Jane lingers. Back on Asgard there is a feast with Thor's friends. Thor passes by the table, takes his mother's hand briefly, then walks on. Sif steps up to Frigga and expresses her condolences for Loki. She asks how Thor is. Frigga replies that he mourns for Loki and misses Jane. Thor walks up to Odin on a balcony. Odin tells Thor he will be a wise king, and Thor returns there will never be a better king or father than him. Thor knows now he has much to learn and hopes to make Odin proud someday. Odin smiles, "You've already made me proud.")
Katney: Promises promises

Katney: Yep ^^
(Later Thor meets with Heimdall at the end of the shattered bridge. "So Earth is lost to us." "No. There is always hope," Heimdall tells Thor. Thor asks if he can see Jane, and Heimdall tells him Jane searches for him through her research. Thor smiles. Credits roll over outer space, eventually pulling out to reveal Yggdrasil and then the Thor movie title. Regular credits crawl.)
Katney: And there's always hope

(In the post credits scene Erik passes by a SHIELD agent in a dimly lit facility. Nick Fury greets Erik, Erik musing that he thought he was being brought down to be killed. Fury tells Erik that he has heard about the situation in New Mexico, and Erik's work has impressed a lot of people. Fury leads Erik to a metal case. "Legend tell us one thing, history another. But every now and then we find something that belongs to both." He opens the case, revealing a glowing blue cube, which we later learn is called the Tesseract. It's possibly unlimited power if they can figure out how to tap it. Loki appears on a reflective surface behind Erik. "Well, I guess that's worth a look," Loki says... which is echoed by Erik. Film ends.)

Katney: Alright, so we made it through another movie
Nee: yep... thoughts?
Katney: ::shrug:: Not sure... I'm curious of the back way in beyond Bifrost
Nee: You don't know if you liked it or not?7
Katney: Too many distractions... like it enough I might look at it again like the other movies.
Katney: Or at least to get what's going on, what it on the breezeway TV for better brightness. X3

So what are my thoughts four years later? Well, it's just another MCU movie for me. I usually am glad I watch them and enjoy most of them, but I'm usually not in a hurry to return to it. At least watching these movies again prepared me for the sequels, such as when I got to Thor: Ragnarok soon after doing this log. I'm terrible with names. X3 But next time on the KatNee Movie Date we finally get to watch one of MY movies again! Part one of our Valentines Day double-feature, "Nee's Never Seen 'Romancing the Stone'". See ya soon!
