Oh, I have heard about this one, but to be honest, I didn't read it and I don't know if I will.
I know, the correct thing is to read the story to form your own opinion about it, but when I was looking around more about your characters, I heard about the Bucking the System and some bad comments about it, especially about a point where Pat almost had a breakdown because Nightshade had sex with another guy and humiliated him during the event. But at the beginning, actually Pat suggest try the cuck fetish...
I don't know, forgive my ignorance since I just read the comments, but after imagined that, all that situation of being humiliated and everything else... I just figured out that's not my thing and really felt bad for Pat, so I decided to not look futher on it.
Anyway, now seeing that Nightshade and Patrick still together, it means they got over this and still love each other, which is good and I know that my opinion maybe won't matter that much now, but I'm glad for that.

I mean, Bucking the System wasn't written by me so it's technically not canon. Anything with other people's OCs aren't canonical, but my OCs wouldn't act out of character either, if that makes sense? Still, I enjoyed the story and gave my approval for it and helped Dragon Cobolt brainstorm and proofread it. A lot of my fans who have read the book really loved it. The kink isn't for everyone, and some of the scenarios aren't terribly realistic for the sake of dramatic tension and such... but overall it still gets talked about a lot, usually positively. Better than being forgotten :P
Also what you described is not exactly how that scene went. Night didn't really even speak during that scene, and Pat clams up and forgets to use the safe word, which made her think he was enjoying the show. She actually is really distraught later when Pat admits to her that he felt distressed about the situation... buuuut people who hate the story tend to ignore that detail and push a certain narrative that validates their anger.
Those who dislike the Night/Pat dynamic, especially the femdom/cuck element, tend to hound me about it on my various online sites, publicly and privately. I very often get comments saying that Night has to prove she still cares about Pat, which tells me these critics don't understand their relationship or bother to read the comics or stories that feature that kink. They just see Pat's masculinity being threatened and want reassurance.
So, no need to worry - Night's not abusing Pat and she cares deeply for him. They're sticking together, and were never at risk of breaking up XD

Oooh, I understand it now. And yes, I got it that part of yous OCs wouldn't act out character, especially since you approved the story in first place and even not being canon, it's good to know how the situation really end it.

Yeah, Nightshade has always been a much more dominant and aggressive character. If anything, she's really mellowed out in recent years XD The femdom/cuck stuff was borne out of the BDSM aspect of her sexuality, partly because I like the psychological aspect of it, and partly because I don't see Pat being a whips and chains kinda guy :P
Night's kind of a love/hate character. Overall most seemed to like her predatory aspect (tho there have been some guys who would get very offended by her talking dirty to Pat lol). I didn't see a real 'outcry' until I tried the cucking angle of her femdom side, and I think it's partly because cuckolding/NTR just really gets under some guys' skin. But, it's not like she would do anything without Pat's approval, because ultimately it's about her pleasing him (since he's the sub).
Haha, people don't believe me because they don't want to believe me. They either want Night to be utterly submissive to Pat (which is totally out of character), or for Pat to go back to my old Pat x Puz incest stuff (which was meant to be a diversion and not the main point of their relationship, and I retconned it anyway because people got too creepy towards me about it). I think they also want Night to make some kind of huge proclamation that she loves Pat, and I think that would just be too out of character. She does show her love all the time, just in more subtle ways that goes over their heads :P

And I won't denied, I kinda enjoyed the BDSM idea, but since the most I had seen was with a male dom and a sub female, now I'm feel a little odd when I see a femdom, especially like Nightshade in her "early years"(?!), but it kinda intrigues me, raise my curiosity about her and all those stuff. Not more than that for now, hehehe

I wouldn't judge you for liking the Puz/Pat stuff. I mean, I was the one drawing it after all, lol XD I drew it because I thought it was a fun taboo thing, and I was honestly concerned people would think I 'sullied' Puzzle, but they overwhelmingly liked it. I did a handful of comics focusing on the kink, but I always saw it as a detour from Pat and Night. I also felt it kind of hindered Puz and Di a bit, as Di got overshadowed. But I got so tired of fans only ever talking about it that I was like 'oookay I don't want to be known as the incest giraffe guy' XD
I'm not completely against drawing Puz/Pat stuff again, it's just not something I have any real desire to explore on my own right now.
