well not only does she look like something out of warhammer 40k it seems like you've taken everything that made krystal exotic and thrown all that out the window, just to go with a a few pattern changes to Carmelita that makes her look like a rabid dingo. a few of carmelita's best traits have also been butchered with the addition of krystal's fringe making it look like felina feral's hair style.
the weapon looks so silly that it looks like a toy or something out of borderlands so don't even try explaining to me how the mechanism works.
all and all most of the features has been taken from Carmelita and no tribal elements from krystal remain. i think the biggest challenge with combining these two characters is that they are just worlds apart, and with krystal you don't even have a personality trait to take anything out from that.
i could keep going but i think that'll do for now.

The design does lack any tribal influence from Krystal, as I took mostly the shape of her clothing and added it to Carmelita. Overall, it's too Carmelita to be a 50/50 fusion, but you have to steer in some direction of you'll get a design that isn't anything on it's own. Just a mix of character traits. At the very least, I can say this character has a distinct style and look, which is something I think the other fusions lacked.
The rifle would have better been designed from the ground up, or forgone entirely. It's a disaster, but a fusion between Carmelita's pistol and Krystal's staff is tricky. I focused too much on retaining the cartoony look of Carmelita's without realizing that it didn't match the more serious art style I drew her in. Guns that look too simple or rounded in shape don't look good, but I chose not to put more effort into designing it. A lazy error on my part.
In the end however, I'm very happy with the character design, but the direction was heavily influenced by the combined personalities of Krystal and Carmelita. A Krystal flair was only added looks-wise, but was more heavily considered personality-wise, which can't be shown very well without some type of story.
