Armor! I love that you've done that! It looks great, and like it's actual half-plate! And I'm amazed that despite the chainmail basically being cross-hatched, it just... works! I don't know how you did that without it looking like plaid pajamas like when I attempt that method lol.

My only criticism (sorry!) is that I think the handle of the sword should be longer. Given the length of the blade, the grip should be about 1/6th to 1/5th the length of the blade itself to facilitate using two hands. It would be poorly balanced and unwieldy otherwise.

I feel kinda bad pointing that out because it makes me feel like an asshole know-it-all for saying anything, so if it's unfair I'll retract my statement bud.

It's totally fair! I was actually thinking about that when I was looking at it earlier. I think I'm content to kind of leave it at "he's beefy and burly so his grip is most likely strong enough to grip that". XD I think he chainmail looking like chainmail despite just being crosshatching is thanks to the stylistic linework that I did with it, to be honest. I'm not sure it would have worked if I didn't do the linework with a slightly textured brush or with the thicker outline.

That's a fair point. I really like the style though, so I hope that we see more like this in the future from you (I mean, pending commissions of course). Ain't nothing wrong with dick, but it's nice to see you spreading your winds and doing different things. I think I recall you mentioning armor before as a struggling point? Or perhaps I'm conflating you with another artist. Point is, this looks great!

Haha hell yeah it does, and I've only ever really done busts for armored characters. Full body stuff is agonizing. >.>
