Went to Punxsatawny Pennsylvania this past weekend with
marmotollie. It was awesome as I never been there before and looking forward to being there during groundhogs day taking in the festivities! Here's a few of the Phil statues we saw.

You gotta' love ol' Punxy Phil. Now, if only the wily critter would only manage to not see his shadow for once... :)
Planning on taking in the festivities, eh? My advice is to get there as early as possible. Most seem to even make it an all night event by partying through midnight and then just making their way over to Gobbler's Knob before the big event. Good times!

Yeah, but I am going with some pretty seasoned veterans! They know the ins and out pretty good over there. Also, I will probably be suiting there too but we will see on that. Atleast as a squirrel I am a relative in Phils family. :) Will be spending a few days around town so should be okay and not miss out on anything.
Yeah, saw his track of times he saw his shadow as opposed to not and its not a great ratio. He really doesn't like being woken up I guess. XD

Hopefully we'll have taught Scooter how to spell it by the time we reach Punxsutawney... lol (old Delaware Indian name, btw- "town of the sandflies")
you know Anthrocoon, they sell "I was born on Groundhog Day" shirts there.. and you might get to go up on stage, too...
the pics came out nice Scooter! :)
