Oh god you just reminded me of a mechanic in the RPG Morrowind where a certain enemy you sometimes encountered in dungeons would drain all your strength until you could go to a temple to get it cured (unless you had a potion to restore strength). So your carrying capacity dropped to 0, which meant you would be overencumbered and unable to move until you drop literally everything you were carrying, even your clothes, and walk back naked while people laugh at you.
