Completed commission for
koopacooper. His catgirl character, 'Leana' is shown here fully anthropomorphisized (see her original form here) and having a bit of trouble on the golf course. It seems one of the sand traps was built over a spring, and now it really is a "sand trap", as Leana finds much to her consternment, as her foot sinks right in. I expect the other one will break through shortly Maybe she should have worn golf spikes? This model of Leana serves as the basis for her future appearances in the Mud Scout series.
No major technical difficulties this time around, although if you compare this with the pencils in my scrap folder, you'll see that I re-drew parts of the golf cart in the distance, as it looked really ghetto as originally inked. I made some tentative steps toward improving the three-dimensionality of the trees, but there's still a bit of a way to go there. This pic was a single-layer image, thus it only maxed out to the typical 24MB in it's 300dpi version, which the commissioner received along with pencils and other full-size test sketches.
Brush-inked pencils on bristol, processed in Micrografx Picture Publisher.

Yes, since I don't trust myself to do a credible catgirl model, I anthropomorphisized her.
There will be more Mud Scout pics in the future--I still have to do models of the other recruits in their uniforms before they go into the muck. You can see them listed on the commission info link on my profile, under 'queued projects'

This is too cute! Leana's gonna end up with lots of sticky quicksand everywhere by the time she gets out of this! ;)
However she might manage to do that, as this stuff is even softer and more sucky than a deep mud-pool...
Yes, Zerozero, Leana is enrolled in the Mud Scouts and I commissioned this 'cos a) I just loved the idea and b) to see how Leana would look in a similar situation. But mostly 'cos it was just a fun idea to commish. ;D 10/10!

I'm glad you think so much of my taste in commission artists. :D
I do pay for art from a lot of different artists, in many different styles; I'm currently moving into commissioning realistic character portraits too. :)
I keep a gallery of most of my commishes at Nzz1 on dA.
