The large doors were shoved open as a pair of guards hurried inside the spacious throne room while supporting the weight of a weakened creature who no longer had the will or strength to resist. It was but a brisk march across the hall before the pair bowed their heads in respect to their ruler, The Trash King. With a nod in acknowledgement, the opossum rose from his throne with the grace that only a ruler could have and motioned for the guards to release the creature they were holding. Obeying their ruler's wishes, they gently released the vulpine and stepped back several paces to give them space. It wasn't unusual for the King to find time and listen to the occasional peasant that wished to have an audience with him, but having an audience with slaves who have escaped other kingdoms was one the King always enjoyed despite how rare it may be. Upon being released, the emaciated vulpine instantly fell to his hands and knees, his heavily whipped and scarred body visible for all to see while he wept unashamedly in the face of royalty. With tears streaking down his muzzle and ears splayed back in fear, the young fox was utterly terrified of what cruel fate was to befall him as he averted his eyes from the great king. With a warm smile, the opossum reached a hand down and beckoned to the vulpine in a comforting voice. "Stand up. You are safe here, friend." The vulpine slave, unsure of what he should really do, rose slowly to his feet as the King placed his hands around the fox's shoulders and helped support him back upright. Wiping away the tears from the slave's muzzle with his fingerless glove-like paw, he reassures the young fox in front of him. "You have nothing to fear here and you are home now. I will ensure that you will be well taken care of during your stay in my kingdom. Now come, walk by my side and let us remove the shackles of slavery from you."



Wanted to get something nice and happier for a change while adding onto the Trash King idea of mine.
