Well here is my next one everyone and I thought I mix it up a little. Hehe I have done the red scorpions once before and so I had some bits left over and felt this would be a good chance to test it on some forge world upgrades with a primaris marine and man I enjoy how it turned out.
Working on this guy really makes me want to pick up the Scorpions special Leviathan Dreadnought and work on it too ahhh that be great.
Sorry for the delay on some of those fan favorite chapters needed bits and parts but working on em right now I swear and I hope all of you who enjoy my models continue to do so and are inspired to give it a try yourself :) all I can hope for.

Nice kinda want to see him now I bet your watch master looks really cool :3 oh as for the base it’s a mix of Armageddon dunes and dust from games workshop texture paint line then some dry brushing and a wash finished with some grass tuffs I can give you the full recipe if you want ?
I'm afraid there's not much to see, he isn't painted yet. But I was able to give him a really nice Red Scorpions shoulder pad (meant for a sergeant or captain, I don't remember). I really should paint my Deathwatch. Not to mention all the other armies I have lying around here :P
Anyway, the texture looked unfamiliar. Very interesting. I'd like to hear the full details though. I'm always interested in bases :)

Do it! Always a wonderful feeling to have a finished force and that sounds really nice the shoulder guard must be similar to the one I got here :)
How for the recipe it gores like this
Armageddon dust and dunes mixed about the base I tend to put dunes in spots and connect it all with dust or the other way around to give it a mix uneven ground underfoot. Be sure to give it time to dry completely.
Wash all of it with Agrax Earthshade to give a nice shaded effect and let dry fully.
Next dry brush with Rakarth flesh
Then dry brush with ushabti bone being sure to leave some of the previous colours
Again dry brush lightly screaming skull leaving some of the previous colours.
Finally dry brush base with skull white and boom done :)
Hope this helps :)

And thanks. I haven't thought of trying the different textures on the same base.
I admit, I find the texture paints a bit expensive... but that's probably mostly me using far too much of them.
Anyway, thanks! I'll give that a try some time.

That guy looks really cool and looks like he is gonna be great when finished so I hope ya get too!
As for the textures being expensive they do cost the same as your washes but like them if you don’t use to much they last a long while. I have don’t the same colours base for all of these Lieutenants and I started with some texture paints 3/4 empty I only just now need to look into getting some new ones in a bit as the two I got are just not getting low so treat em well and they last

Thank you really enjoyed painting this guy and that helm bugged me for a bit so glad you like it now that it’s complete hehe as for the sword it’s the same effect I have put on all the blades so far just I tried some different colours me also forgot to do the final glaze wash to merge it all together. I will admit it feels odd to me but I still love it too
