It was a collective amount of time, somewhere above two hundred hours, that the kangaroo had gone to the gym. He was proud of himself, and he was proud of his progress.

He was pleased as he looked at himself in the mirror. "Ha! Didn't want to believe I spent time at the gym, didja? Well...."

The kangaroo hastily pulled out his phone, realizing that now, above all else, was the perfect time to take a picture, as he was fresh off the bench and feeling lively.

Pressing the button on his phone, he saw that he got a message, a message from the previous non-believer of his progress.

"Having fun 'working out'." The message teased.

The kangaroo narrowed his eyes. Joke was on this guy, though! "I've got pics!"

Lifting the phone up in front of him, he pulled out the camera app and angled it. He waited for the logo to pass, which was a bit odd for a camera.

"Fluffmaster...." He grimaced, stating the word out loud. "Odd brand name, but the camera was a decent price!"

The image appeared and he managed to finally get the angle he wanted.

Snap.

"Haha! This'll show him that I-" The kangaroo stopped speaking. Was there something wrong with the camera? There musta been. It was making him look rather large! His belly was NOT that big, nor were his abs so... unnoticeable.

A bit frantic, he had to think of a reason for this. "Oh... OH! I forgot to angle it properly! Yeah!" He gulped as he nervously lowered the camera so it'd take a picture of him from down below. He was too afraid to take a look at the picture.

Snap.

He lifted the camera back up, staring at it again....

"Is this some cruel joke?" He remarked, eyes widening in panic. Even from that lower angle, he still looked fat. Actually, he looked even FATTER than before!

Turning around, he stared at himself in the mirror. With a hand pressed firmly on his belly, he could see the rotundness of it. He had abs before... he was sure of it, but now he was sporting a keg -- a belly so large it looked like he hadn't exercised a day in his life.

"But... but..." The phone dropped to the ground, leaving the kangaroo perplexed as he lowered both his arms to heft up the mass of fat that was now attached to his midriff. "I've been working out!"

He gulped, realizing that this must have truly been a prank, but not the kind that would reveal his fears were fake, because his fears were real... and they were as real as the belly he somehow grew instantaneously.

He felt so normal, but he noticed his pants seemed to not fit him properly anymore. He hadn't noticed it until he hefted up his belly, but the pants seemed to have ripped at the seams, which was another bit of proof to validate his fears.

"I.... I'm fat." He mumbled, looking at himself in the mirror one last time. With a shake of his belly, he then gazed down at where he dropped his phone. He saw the insignia on its back -- a small wolf's head with two beedy eyes and a smile. It was too cute not to gawk at, and if the situation were different, he'd probably be staring at the emblem a bit longer.

Sighing, he picked up the phone and replied to the nay-sayer. "Nvm.... I lied." He put a hand to his forehead and sat on the bench, flustered and confused by how he got this fat.
