YUS!!! Itsy in her new home!!
It's a 40*25*25 glass aquarium, some sand used for bird cages, some earth from outside, biologically (yellow) colored wood strands and a Bromelia. itsy looks pretty lost in there actually o.o
And she didn't eat for about two weeks now since she got into her new home though is building webs and acting normal otherwise, she also started runing away from things being dropped in her net moving o.o I guess she'll eat when she's hungry ^^

Sounds interesting o.o you should make a photo one day and post it here, I'm sure there wil be quite a few guys ready to help you out ^^
We have garden spiders over here (those with a cross on the abdomen) which can grow amazingly large too, I think fattest one I have seen was about 2cm body size o.o

Now, when it's getting cold, spiders take like a natural rest from feeding...they can live without food for about two months.

Last time was .. uumm .. two weeks ago on a friday .. and it's actualy warm inside my room ...
I needed to rape the Bromelia because it was too big for the vessel, Itsy could have climbed out, I'm actually amazed the plant still lives XD
I neded to cut most of the leaves away and tear it's roots because it came in a ugly plastic pot >.< I guess you know those ^^;
