Just kidding! At last Nature decides to let me take its communal picture. I actually stopped to shoot seagulls, who were in with the ducks and geese, begging for food at the park. Smack in the middle? Two misplaced pigeons.

And were they ever FRIENDLY!

Hey, look! I've been a frustrated nature photog since I can't remember. A cruel Nature has only just stopped automatically mooning me when I show up with a camera. I can't tell you how many pictures of tails and tailfeathers I've ended up with.

I regard all things avian with distinct suspicion!

It's vastly worse when there are people milling about, many watching The Dolt With A Camera trying to quietly creep up on a flock of ducks -- only to have 15 ducks precision-spin at once and moon me.

I admit it: I'm not too proud to cry in public!

Hee! Ducks are tricky little things, and can be weirdly aggressive. O.o At the sanctuary I work at there's one who always, always tries to pull me down by my shoelaces.
