Oh definitely, if I remember right they were playing a game with the middle dude in this part of the story I linked: They know he's Human, and they know he just realized the other two are actual Creeps right that instant, but so long as he "pretended" he was also a Creep with his mask and helped pass out cookies, they wouldn't immediately nab or forcefeed him.
Of course that state of affairs didn't last forever.
