Behold! The thing that started it all! Granted, my first miniature metal swords were made from nails, but I got lazy and started cutting my blades from pre-flattened materials. However, the unfinished katana on the far right was hand forged from bailing wire. o.o And hand polished in the traditional fashion. I really need to finish some of these unfinished doo-hickeys! (And yes, that thing on my head is my hair. x.x)
I was dissatisfied with the crummy old shot of my micro swords, so I did a retake! A couple of the knives are misplaced, and there are a few new item! This shot is centered on my Japanese style blades: the tanto with a copper tsuba and habaki, an early katana also having a copper tsuba and habaki, my mostly-completed katana with a wooden handle detailed brass tsuba and soldered brass habaki, and the bottom katana blade which still requires some work before I can fit it with a hilt.
