NC Corporation's first functional, production-model Gear, the Generation Two.

"The Genetically-Engineered Assault Rifleman (“Gear”) is a creature designed to change the course of warfare. Generation 2 Gears are an expendable synthetic infantry unit that can adapt to various roles, eliminating the need to risk human lives.
Generation 2 Gears are akin to walking tanks, wielding immense firepower while being protected from many kinds of attacks. All Gen 2s come permanently encased in a body shell, consisting of powered armor that supplies both life-support and power to their weapons. This power suit is charged simply by having them enter NC Corp-manufactured stasis pods, which remove waste products and heal any internal damage as well.
Gears are not cold, unfeeling machines; they have instincts like any animal, including self-preservation and the need to protect human beings. Should they sense that an allied human is in danger, they will readily place themselves in harm’s way in order to protect them. They will not hesitate to eliminate any target, however, and will follow a commander’s orders to the letter.
Gen 2s come equipped with an understanding of the English language. Users desiring multilingual Gears can request a learning package, which teaches them to recognize other languages, and comes with instructions on how to administer the package. The Gen 2’s simplistic vocal system, while incapable of replicating human speech, can convey a number of sounds to quickly confirm its status. It also recognizes and can emulate hand-signals, and is capable of learning new gestures.
While combat is a large part of a Gen 2’s programming, it can be repurposed to carry out other vital tasks. These include policing, lifting and transporting equipment, carrying wounded, riot suppression, and guarding assets. Gen 2s can also be custom-ordered with special neurological programming, armaments, and armor to suit your needs. Gears exist to serve, so that you don’t have to!
