Biff the Chameleon is a character of mine that I've had for a while, but am now just getting some artwork for. There is quite a lot to unpack here, so first I'm going to do my thing where I provide a little bit of image context, and then I'm going to go ahead and tell you a little bit about the character himself.
Sometimes it's nice to have a weekend to one's self in order to kick back, relax, and catch up on some video games.
"Drake in three. Two. One..."
"Dodged. Undead merchant is gonna be on the right."
"On the way. Gonna kill him?
"Uhg. Pass. We already had an Uchigatana run"
"Yeah, but we're still going for the Dragonslayer Spear."
"And We don't have the strength for the Uchigatana right now.
"Uchigatana needs 14 strength, and we will need 24 for the Dragonslayer Spear."
"Yeah, but we only have 12 strength right now, and we can just BUY the spear from him."
"But we can just level up strength some, we're gonna do it anyways."
"It's better to just use the spear, Rush to 24 dex, and then when we can get a suitable grind for souls, THEN upgrade our strength"
"Alright alright, fair enough, we can upgrade later to the Winged spear we got."
"And then pick up a silver knight spear if we're lucky."
"And then we're be in prime territory for dragon slayer."
"Bingo."
Biff smiled and reclined in the beanbag chair, sighing in content.
So, biff is a very... unusual individual, so allow me to grant you some backstory.
Biff is a false name. But to make sense of that, we need to go backwards.
Aaron and Lloyd were twin brothers. They grew up closer to each other than anyone.
Things were fine all through their adult life, until a drunk driver broadsided their car, and Lloyd was left mortally wounded, and it didn't look like he was going to make it.
In a desperate bid to save his brother's life, Aaron arranged for a transplant, transplanting the left half of Lloyd's brain, replacing the left half of Aaron's brain. This saved His brother's consciousness, but now the two of them share the same body, and each one controls one half of that body. Lloyd controls the left half, Aaron the right.
They went with the name Biff because it is easier to explain "Our name is Biff, and we prefer They/Them pronouns" than it is to explain their whole backstory, which they are, in fact, a little sensitive about.
That being said, for those who are in the know, and they are comfortable with, you could absolutely talk directly to Aaron or Lloyd.
They're in sync enough with each other that they can operate as a functional individual (note: They can't think to each other, if they want to talk, they have to talk aloud). But they do have slightly different tastes.
So, they have a habit of taking shirts, cutting them in half, and sewing them together with different shirts as a compromise for those tastes.
