Before that happened, the rulers and their chosen warriors and racers from the other places needed to arrive at the Circle Square. The guests attending the racing and tournament were already here. Nicholas would be there to greet them along with Shine, and the old rulers of Loft Ereborn Ajihad and Natasha. The fosky technically wasn’t the current ruler yet as the previous ones were still alive and ruled from their place. But since he was next in line, the long-haired male had to be a part of this. Nicholas didn’t mind at all. Shine of course being his girlfriend would attend this as well. The other citizens of Loft Ereborn were here as well to greet the other rulers and guests. Shine who was by her boyfriend’s side was a little curious to see what the other rulers were like as she had only met two other current ones. “Ah, I believe two are here now,” the fosky stated.
Suddenly in a whirl of shinning water Ralis and Oren appeared. With them were Brutar and his family acting as guards. A small number of others were with them to fight and race. Everyone cheered for them. “Do all the rulers tend to do this?” Shine asked as she applauded to Nicholas.
“Oh yeah,” he replied. “We can’t help but show off when we gather sometimes.”
The current rulers of water came up to the ones of wind and bowed with respect. They saw Nicholas and Shine and smiled. Brutar and his wife did as well, but their daughter ran up to hug the two. After this was finished, Shine looked to see where the others would come. But Nicholas looked at her seeing how this time the vixen seemed much more warmed up to the little one. It made him think back to some weeks ago he and his girl had gone to the swimming area of this place. It was the private one for the rulers here due to it being smaller. The thing was that Shine had woken up late and hadn’t taken the pill. Luckily the fosky had remembered to grab some before she had gotten up. They had begun to get hot and heavy in the water, but Nicholas realized quickly what they were doing.
The couple had gone back to the shore at the swimming area. Shine teased her guy by saying not all the ways had to be done and wasn’t trying to get pregnant. But Nicholas didn’t feel complete with her unless they did all the ways. Another problem was that something in his gut and soul was telling him that now wasn’t the right time to have kids with his girl. In the future for certain as he could already see it; married to the vixen and having children with her. But that would have to wait as his gut and soul were also telling him not only the time wasn’t right but something evil was coming and Shine being pregnant was a bad idea. He had told her these things, but she had just teasingly taken one of the pills that had been brought without complaining, saying that he worried about things too much and should relax. The rest of the time had passed in love and with the sex with no more talk about that. Still, Nicholas did wonder when the time came how Shine would take the idea. For now, he put that thought to the back of his mind.
Then in a blaze of fire the next two arrived. When the flames cleared, standing there was a powerful looking red panda male with a beautiful female one by his side. Their armor was the color of flames as were the armor and outfits their warriors and racers wore. “That is Kenshin and Ariel,” Nicholas told Shine.
The next to come in a whirl of sand and stone was a coyote with a female Anubian Jackal. They’re armor and small band of others were dressed more to be like Egyptian garb but had modern designs to the armor and racing outfits. “Looks like Atem and Meredith are next,” the fosky said.
Then in a beautiful shining light came the next rulers. After it cleared standing there was a Bird of Paradise with a beautiful female peacock by his side. “Kareem and Jackie are still the same,” Nicholas stated to Shine. She felt an instant connection as they used the same type of elemental power as her.
Then in a swirl of colorful shadow energy the ruler of shadows came. A male rhino and his female rhino queen in black armor appeared from it along with their warriors and racers. But despite the element they used, they smiled and waved. “They’re not… evil are they?” Shine asked while hesitantly applauding. Everyone else was cheering and doing the clapping harder.
“Of course not,” Nicholas replied. “Shun and Halibel are some of the nicest people you’ll meet.”
Then the next to emerge were in cloud of earth. From it a powerful wolverine and his badger queen came with their warriors and racers. These two had a presence of wisdom beyond their years. They were also the next oldest Shine had seen; appearing to be 40. “Bruce and Opal; they’ve haven’t changed,” the fosky next to her said.
Then finally in a beautiful display of ice the rulers of that element came. From it a male white wolf and his beautiful husky wife came along with their warriors and racers. “Kane and Isabel,” Nicholas stated. “They still look the same; not cold hearted like you would think.”

Then the warriors and racers for the city where this would be held were announced. Then everyone began to mingle and talk. The rulers along with Shine were taken to the house that was hers and Nicholas’s. There they sat and began to talk about what had been going on. At one point the talk turned to the fosky and the vixen who was his girl. “It’s very nice to see you’ve found someone who is beautiful and worthy to be your queen and wife when the time comes,” Meredith stated.
Shine blushed and placed her arms behind her back. Nicholas smiled with pride and hugged her with one arm. The others agreed. “Yes,” the long-haired male stated. “I mean… Ajihad and Natasha aren’t going for a while still. But I do agree with you. However… me and Shine have had our age reduced. I mainly did it so we could have a second chance at love. Now due to being very young, I think we can enjoy just being a couple without having to worry about ruling…”
In the vixen’s mind, a thought suddenly pooped up of ruling as a queen. But more importantly was the other part of that with being married to Nicholas. For a few seconds Shine was hit of vision of her in a wedding dress and him in a tuxedo. The next sentence of going back to business caused her to come back to the present. However, the thought of marriage was still in her mind and what that would lead which would be children. Shine knew by this point she wasn’t going to want anyone else but Nicholas whom she loved with all her heart. She knew he felt the same way and the sex with him was the best. But marriage was a huge step, a bonding tie that was sacred. And kids were a whole different game. Shine didn’t mind them, but didn’t honestly know how she would be as a mother. Sure her guy Nicholas was great with kids and she had seen that. But their own was a different story. Shine then decided not to worry about those things for now. Like he had said they were still young and had their whole lives ahead.

In the meantime she found the other rulers and their queens to be very friendly. She would spend quite a lot of time with them as Nicholas acted as their escort here and the vixen went with him. She also met some of the warriors, racers, and guests from these cities. Shine asked questions about the places and they were happy to tell her all about them. The days leading up to the racing went flying by. Then it came time for them. Nicholas and Shine had a special spot along with the other rulers to watch. At the end of it, Loft Ereborn won this time. But now the real challenged lay ahead. The night before the eliminating rounds began, the vixen went to bed earlier. She then went to where they would be held. It was hard but she made it into the finals. Ashelin did as well. The female tiger glared at the vixen who shot a smirk at her when the finalists were announced. A day was then spent so the fighters could rest. The night before Nicholas and Shine spoke. “I’m so proud of you,” he told her. “Just remember, it’s not about winning but showing how strong you’ve gotten.”
“Yes…” she replied. “Thank you for believing in me hun.”
“Of course I always do.” They came in for a hug.
“I love you…” the vixen whispered.
“And I love you…” the fosky said softly. Shine felt ready but nobody even suspected that trouble was coming.
