Unpacking some books, a 1/4th view of my collection
Here's part of my library in the office. It's almost set up! YAY!
Lesseee, books on the top of the first bookshelf are doubled up because the shelves are deep enough to fit 2 rows of paperback fiction.
1st:
Fables, Mythology, Lore, Legends. Also some of bf's stupid books (all the D&D books are his)and Language books.
Then you get cookbooks, and some anatomy books, animal anatomy books, reference drawing books, and general reference (and some books too big to go elsewhere).
2nd bookshelf:
Cooking, then doubled up bf's fiction, my nerd fiction, drawing books and instructional drawing books, art books, how to draw manga stuff, digital artwork and painting, character design n stuff, bottom shelf is blocked with boxes but it's general reference books and oversized books.
3rd bookshelf:
web design, interactive media, logo design, marketing, graphics and computer stuff. Graphic novels, more comic instructional books, how to books in japanese and japanese art books. More how to manga books, I have all but one or two, AP manga how to books, other stuff. Includes copies of comics I've been debuted in, or published in. More random reference books.
I'll be reorganizing when I'm done unpacking.
I still have uhm.. about 15 boxes of manga, so I'd say maybe about 1000 manga, and about 500 comic issues... and don't get me started on my video game guide book collections. Those are shoved in the closet for now.
I have 4 more bookshelves, short and long ones, One you can see in the closet, another in the closet out of sight, and two in the room.
=3
I like books.
If you notice duplicates, you're not crazy! I do accidentally buy the same books over and over!
If you see one you're interested in (in a duplicate) send me an email or a note! =D

How about this? Any books I didn't shove in my car when I 'left home' (ran away from psychomom) at 17, she threw them in a dumpster.
This includes my comic book collection, which had been valued at 250,000$.
Then it rained.
THEN she called me to 'come get (my) shit'.
So yeah.

At home I limit myself to two bookcases usually, although they're always getting full and I have to continually cycle things out that I don't want anymore. Certain things I'll never get rid of though. . . Also here at school I have a single bookshelf x3 don't have as much time for reading.
I almost didn't see it, but I noticed you had a martial arts book in the third bookshelf (fourth row from the top). Did you study some kind of martial arts at some point, or did you get the book to see reference images of how certain techniques were used so you could learn how to draw them? Just curious.
mmm good question.
I think one is a book on the 'worlds greatest sailing ships'. Good fat reference book on giant ships - as I also have a pirate comic and ships are very ... detailed.
Other things are turning up, as we just found a few more boxes of books hiding behind a closet door.
The body armor book is super goddamn amazing - I only have two because I lost the original and had to order another thru amazon.com - and then 2 days later I found my book lol.
