After Hawkette had to run away from the Sky Hunters (full story here: jacy-woolsey.deviantart.com/ga…) Arca was interrogated but refused to give up Hawkette, he eventually escaped and hid from the Hunters until his trail went cold. Once it was safe he went to Hawkette, Reunited there was only one thing on their minds and protection wasn't it. Despite her commitment problems, Hawkette is overjoyed that she's pregnant, to her it's a sign she can live a normal life in spite of what she had to do to save Taiko and Lilah
