Bio: The only son of Bedros and Dhuka, Yul was molded to be a ruler from day one. All he would hear is of pride in his country and of the weaknesses of other nations. With his mother's passing in a caravan attack, Yul's father became even more distant from his son, and even more tyranical. He saw a weakness in him, and thought it could be removed through the rough training at At-Beyi.

His time at school was spent expanding his aura through physical and mental training. He was described by fellow students and teachers as a man with his head full of ideals. It was because of these ideals that he met his best friend, Jabez. Both would spend hours setting plans of how to expand the country past the tight boarders that the current Sultan had created.

Returning home after graduation was a cold affair to Yul. His plans for expansion were ignored by his father, and aside from his sister and the harem girls, he received little encouragement to continue his planning. It was simply "Obey your father," and "Stay out of the way."

On a trip to the city of Semele, Yul and Jabez managed to cross paths with a traveling caravan. There he met, to his eyes, the most beautiful dancer outside of the palace. It was love at first sight. He spent the bulk of the trip attempting to woo her. After many tries, she finally agreed to join him at the palace. He had hoped that with his father's consent to make her his bride.

Sultan Bedros was not pleased at his son's choice. The girl, Afsoon, was common. She had no lineage, no sphere of influence past the dregs of bars and caravans. Still she was allowed into the harem for her beauty. Bedros had finally grown tired of his son's "flights of fancy" and decided he would have to take it upon himself to choose a match for his son. To expedite matters, he chose his own daughter (a not uncommon practice among royals) and a noble girl from the ruling family of Jannah.

Two years into his marriage, Yul's father became gravely ill. At the time, Howliana still had a strong alienation policy to other countries, and when medical specialists finally arrived, the sultan was dead. Yul had inherited the throne.

By the time he had announced the birth of his first daughter, Howliana was already gaining a small foot hold in the global economy. Yul encouraged trade with many nations and slowly opened the desert kingdom's boarders wider than his father had allowed. He hopes that his future children will expand it even further.
