He tripped on a fey couple having a date out on the mana tear. Seelie or Unseelie doesn't matter, stumbling on a powerful faerie on holiday is not going to end without SOMETHING happening to the spellfluxed.
The faerie for all their power they have over the spellfluxed are just as likely to entrap them as only briefly toy with them. Dylend here might have been only briefly tampered with but this condition will last a good while, especially without help.
The fey visit the mana tear frequently because it's the only space on the planet that they can cross over from the feywyld with ease, most showing up for a change of scenery or other such dynamic. Generally they either act as the most inconsiderate tourists or tend to assign some role to themselves to play out for their own amusement. Both cases the Faerie don't really consider the spellfluxed as anymore than playthings.

very carefully. Though more seriously there isn't a super clear reason to with what I have presented.
I figure there is some movement or behavior that reveals who he is to Nicole, and one good part of it is probably being friendly instead of hostile. The list of "Recent missing people in this direction" was pretty short. :p

He's still in there... Just under heavy influence to the point he has little direct decision making power. He's going to wake up from this like it's a nasty hang over and not be able to really recall what he had been up to while changed because it's that alien (relatively) of a shape.

In a dark thick forest the lone Foundation Agent trudges through the snow. His breath crystallizing in front of him. He is suddenly alerted to the sound of a terrified scream. Quickly glancing around he finds the location of the distressed call for help. Peering through the bushes he quickly spots a large horrific beast of snow towering over the young girl. DYLEND!?! She shouts while numerous crystal shares spike up from the ground. The lone agents mission was to remain unseen but he knew that if he didn’t do something the would be another problem for him to worry about. Leaping out of the bushes while drawing his weapon he shouts, BACK YOU BEAST!!! The pre-loaded FMG9 quickly unloads a 2 second burst into the ground near the beast. The creature with wide glowing eyes look at the agent in a confused stare then gallops off into the dense forest. The young female, startled, had raised a large wall of crystals in between herself and the origin of the gun fire. Peering out from behind the large wall she meets the agents shades. She briefly looks back in the direction the beast ran off to and turns back to the agent. She looks at him curiously. Who are you? She asks. The agent simply replys, “I’m afraid that’s classified.”

Yerp, Nicole has crystal generation powers. She mostly uses it to create seats whenever she hears phrases like "It's a long story", where she goes "You don't say! Go on! :3c" It has some fair practical uses but without a choke point she can't create nearly enough to actually block stuff off.
