"Last time we were here, we were younger and with another soul. Oh, yes, younger, and without having this visual beforehand.
This time is..different, somehow.
Sure, there's all the things that really do separate this from that last time, but I certainly don't mean like that. You can have different characteristics and still come out with the same resolution, in some respects.
No, we've become very different people compared to last time, and of course the strings being played upon from this metaphorical harp are in a new, unfamiliar note, too.
Perhaps it's the fact that we gave the promise and expectation that the last time was going to be, in fact, the last time. That we were a snowflake to a blizzard caressing our fragile form until it tinted us just a hint of change to become irregular to make us stand out, as if we were the center of the universe, better than everything and everyone around us.
We'd never have admitted it back then, but, we saw through these eyes of ours, and we damn well thought we were chosen for greatness because it was our priviledge and ours alone.
That we were invulnurable, and nothing could ever hurt us or tear us apart.
.
.
Now, though, we know we're still so young, even all these years later, with someone in our clutch that we might never have again. But, that's okay, and we can appreciate what's in front of us, for now. The world doesn't have to come to an end. It's incredible, isn't it?
We just might always be on our own but, at least for now, we can look at this gift that delivered to our doorstep, take it by the hands, and dance away in the snow once more.
We'll mold our tracks into the ground and point out everything that makes us different than the artifact several years buried, and nod to the truth that we'll come back here again, someday. Perhaps with another soul who'll join us for a dance, I presume.
He is beautiful, just as the last symphony was, and their breath is perhaps brighter than the freeze that encapsuls us.
We've been here before, and we'll come back again.
But, no, I don't mean like that.
I don't mean like that."

This was a wonderful commission I grabbed with
Fahleir from
LockworkOrange. Fala is an incredible friend who's given me a lot of insight and love time and time again. He's like a dream come true and the fact that he lets me have him as such a close friend is a beautiful opportunity I won't let disappear. I'm glad to know him and think people should certainly give him all kinds of love and praise for being such a genuine, kind, silly, considerate person. I've not met anyone like him and know I'll hold him close to my heart forever. He gets many smooches and love and I beg you all to send him some good vibes xoxoxoxo
Thank you Fala, and of course, thank you to Lockwork, too, who made this amazing piece and gave us a beautiful visual to a little dream that seems so peaceful, safe, and free. Definitely commission them and send love their way, too <3<3
