Today I'm Grateful for:
Knowing basic car maintenance
Having a husband who knows more about car maintenance
Having a trusted mechanic who knows more than both of us combined
3.5 hours total.
In 2016 I started journaling daily. Part of that writing process has been to write 3 things I am grateful for each morning.
I've been sharing those three things along with my new artwork each Mon-Fri.
This practice has benefited me artistically as well as emotionally. My hope is that by sharing this, you guys can feel some of those good vibes during your week too!

I really like reading your "grateful" list. It reminds me of the things I'm grateful for (or should be).
This one reminded me of the satisfaction I used to have working on my own cars (and motorcycles). Now it takes a full set of both English and Metric tools to work on just the nuts and bolts of them. I used to be able to tear an auto engine down on Friday night, put it back together again Saturday night and drive it back to college Sunday night. And the electronics are a nightmare, but I do have to admit that paying for a tune-up once every 100,000 miles beats the hell out of doing it myself every 3-4000 miles. And the newer cars don't rust out in 6-8 years anymore either, which is a real plus for me (I hate doing body work). The last one we got rid of because of rust was in 1990. It still ran great but I could see the pavement through the floor board. Stainless exhaust systems are a godsend also since I don't like doing exhaust work either. We generally keep our cars for 15+ years and well over 100,000 miles. They're wore out when we're done with them but they look good. LOL
