Part of the furring process is to make fur patterns, cut them out and sew them together. I do the third phase by hand (most of the reason being that I have no sewing machine), but it takes so much time and effort I quickly loose patience and do only one feet per day (or I run out of white thread, like today, so shopping day tomorrow).
